The Westside Provisions District has quickly become one of my favorite areas in Atlanta. It is my go-to spot for shopping, lunch, dinner, or grabbing a drink with friends. And while the Westside Urban Market has been around for the last 5 years or so. The White Provisions building (just across the pedestrian bridge) is finally coming into its own with the addition of new shops. Here is a rundown on our favorites.
Billy Reid stores are popping up all over the south and for good reason. Not only does Billy Reid and his team create a casual and inviting shopping environment. Their clothes are impeccably well made and easy to wear. Shop at Billy Reid and then head over to Sid Mashburn (another one of our favorites!) and your husband/boyfriend/son will be ready for any occasion. And while I think of Billy Reid mostly as a men’s store, they have great, classic pieces for women as well.
Calypso St. Barth
Another great clothing company that is slowly starting to open stores across the country. Calypso St Barth knows women and what they love to wear. They are known for their breezy, easy to wear clothing and fabulous accessories. And the ladies who run our local store are great. I love when your find stores with a great mix of style, comfortable clothing, and a fun, welcoming environment!
Simply Put Paper & Gift
Simply Put Paper & Gift is a great stationery and gift store that was born from a boutique card company started by owner Ashley Woodman. They carry everything from note cards, to custom invitations and coffee table books. Quite a few items caught my eye as perfect hostess gifts.
And there is even a candy bar!
Seed Factory is one of those children’s stores that knows kids and what they like. But, they also know what is really important to mom, too. They carry all of the in demand brands like DwellStudio, Aden and Anais, Hape Toys, and Bla Bla. Seed Factory also has a great selection of furniture, baby gear, and clothing. The staff is knowledgeable and doesn’t bat an eyelash if you walk in the door with your kids.
Free People, like its parent company Urban Outfitters, caterers to an urban, younger crowd. But, don’t let that stop you if that isn’t the category you place yourself in. Free People carries great accessories from scarves, handbags, and sunglasses. I also loved their casual, easy to throw on tops. They carry a little something for everyone. When I stopped in the other day I spotted a mother and her two daughters shopping along together.
Perrine’s Wine Shop
Perrine’s Wine Shop is just next door from its old spot (they moved to make room for the new LuLulemon!) same great interiors that make shopping for the perfect bottle of wine stress free. The staff is knowledgeable and quick with suggestions if you need one. Perrine’s also carries great bar accessories and candles made from old wine bottles. Make sure to sign up your email with them. They often have great in-store events and sales!
Also located in the White Provisions space are Lululemon, Room & Board, and Environment . On Thursday we will have all of the restaurants of White Provisions for you!
