If you spend any time around the StyleBlueprint offices, you’ll quickly pick up on the fact that we’re a group who loves to share a fun find — in fact, that’s one of the reasons the site was created! In our new monthly column, “The SB Hot List,” StyleBlueprint staffers share the hottest thing (or things!) on their radar right now. This month, we have everything from grocery store buys to new beauty finds to tunes on repeat. Here is this month’s edition of SB Hot List!
Donald Pliner Fifi sandals
I am currently obsessed with my new Donald Pliner “Fifi” sandals in metallic gold. (Normally around $198, I got mine half off on sale at Garnet Hill. Everyone who has worn these loves them, and now I know why. Minimalist chic but also feel so comfortable. No wonder all my friends have multiples! I’ll be watching for the new fall colors.
– Linda Reeve, SB Social Media Director
New and natural beauty buys
Last month, I made two futile beauty purchases — both splurges. First, aghast at the fact that my toothpaste wasn’t natural and organic, I spent $20 on a tube of toothpaste. (Yes, I know.) Swindled by the arguments that the papaya extracts would naturally whiten my teeth and the all-natural, certified-organic ingredients were worth the price, I made the purchase. Was it worth it? Nah. But thankfully, my second purchase was worth it: a Jade Facial Roller. I store mine in the fridge and use it after applying my facial oil (customized for me at Lemon Laine! — another item I love). The jury is still out on the roller’s ability to reduce wrinkles, but I believe it helps decrease puffiness (as promised) and the cool jade feels wonderful on a steamy summer day.

Four new grocery store finds
These four items are currently taking up most of the space in my fridge: Siggi’s Vanilla Cinnamon yogurt (top it with berries, and you can pretend it’s a legit dessert), Outshine popsicles (Coconut, strawberry and mango are reigning supreme in my freezer), Polar black cherry seltzer (This is a new flavor to me!) and Trader Joe’s Cucumber Tzatziki Dip (only 30 calories per serving and perfect on grilled chicken, as a dip for veggies and in place of mayo on a turkey sandwich).

Getting organized
There’s something about this time of year – even though it’s been five years since I’ve been preparing for a school year – that makes me crave a little extra organization and a Target run. During my last visit, I rediscovered my old favorite planner, and it feels good to be back. There are absolutely no frills – it’s an 8.5-by-11-inch grey planner with monthly and weekly pages and no inspirational quotes or kitschy designs. It gets the job done in the best way, and if you’re like me and must put pen to paper vs. going digital, this is a great way to keep everything in one place.

Fresh and healthy frozen meals
I’ve never really made anything frozen, but I am obsessed with these Wildscape Food frozen meals. My current favorite is the Peri Peri Portobellos with sweet potatoes, black beans and mango, turmeric farro and toasted coconut. Just pop it in the microwave for 5:30, and they are healthy, easy and delish lunch to-go!

Noha Nadler Camera Bag
Must have alert! The Noha Nadler coveted camera bag is the perfect petite size for Fall 2018. It’s roomy enough for a small wallet, iPhone, lipstick, sunglasses and assorted necessities. The chic leather is supple with a slight metallic sheen, ideal to take you from day to night. I can’t go anywhere without someone asking me where I got this! All of Noha Nadler’s designs are beautiful and fashion forward.

Movie night
I just saw Bo Burnham’s Eighth Grade, and I loved it. It’s a really effective take on what it felt like to be 13 years old!
– Jesse Gillenwalters, SB Digital Marketing Analyst

Bo Burnham’s Eighth Grade is a look into that ever-awkward middle school stage and the many feelings that come along with it.
A drugstore favorite
Neutrogena Makeup Removing Cleansing Towels are the absolute best makeup remover for mascara, etc. I’ve ever found. And I’ve logged many years of removing mascara!
– Cindy Acuff, SB Nashville Account Executive

These cleansing towelettes remove even the most stubborn of makeup.
The Light in 9/11
My dear friend Lisa Luckett lost her husband Teddy in 9/11. He was on the 105th floor of the World Trade Center and worked for Cantor Fitzgerald. She just sent me the book that she wrote about finding the positives in this horrific terror attack on the United States. It’s a page turner, for sure.
– Elizabeth Fox, SB Cofounder

An amazing and inspiring story of Lisa Luckett, whose husband died in the World Trade Center on 9/11.
Chic storage
As my oldest readies herself for college, we are all about storage. The Henson Wheeled Trunk is both functional and stylish. It might end up under her bed never to be seen again, but it could easily double as an adorable coffee table or maybe a bed for the Mom not quite ready to let go.
– Tracy Oswald, SB Louisville Account Executive

These trunks are practical for moving and traveling, yet stylish enough to use as a coffee or side table.
Oprah’s Master Class Podcast
She interviews some amazing stars (Dwayne Johnson, Justin Timberlake, Alicia Keys, Jay-Z, etc.). They share what they’ve learned in life, some personal stories and answer questions only Oprah could ask. So good!
– Bailey Torkelson, SB Birmingham Client Success Representative

Oprah’s Master Class brings the interviews we loved from her show to a podcast format. What’s not to love?
Fall shoes
I love these shoes from Frye. Perfect for summer into fall in the South. And, as everyone is predicting that our fall is going to be hotter than usual, they’ll likely be used far more than you may think at first glance. I’ve been wearing mine practically non-stop since buying them and am waiting for someone at work to question me on if I actually own any other shoes. As I look to fall, I have my eyes set on these from Johnston & Murphy, with sheepskin lining, velvet shoestrings and a suede exterior. They have all the comforts of a sneaker but are snazzy enough for work (at least for the SB office!).
– Liza Graves, SB Cofounder

New tunes
I’m always on the hunt for new additions to my personal playlist. This month I’ve had All Ashore, the latest album by the Punch Brothers, on repeat. While the nine-song collection has great musical range, it still manages to move like one collected thought, which makes it great listening for work, a road trip or an early morning walk.
– Lacy Green, SB Traffic Manager

All Ashore, the latest album by the Punch Brothers, is on repeat for Lacy lately.
