Stylish Tech

September 19, 2011 by Heidi Potter

I had a Eureka! moment the other night at dinner when a friend was talking about getting a cute case for her new Mac.   I looked down at my iphone case, one that I have seen at least five other people with, including my mother-in-law and next door neighbor (so much for making mine distinguishable) and thought why am I not treating my tech gear more like a purse??  I want something NICE and DIFFERENT.

I got to work, looking for other options in which to store all my tech stuff.  For those of you that know me, I’m a little Amish.  I know, I know, I work on a computer all the time for my job. But, I barely understand what I am doing and the internet is just magic.  I won’t take the time to learn how to download music, but I will spend hours researching a cute new iPhone case.  Stop rolling your eyes, we all have our talents.

I found lots of cute ways to cover your iPads, iPhones, Nanos, ear buds, docks, chargers, laptops. Click on the images to learn more or purchase.

We will start small.

Nano case on Etsy, $12.

Marigold Earbud Cozies on Etsy, $28.

Butterfly lovers gold earbuds from Anthropologie, $198.

Nubby Candy Lime Zippie on Etsy, $32.  Looks like an alien case for your earphones.

Handmade ear bud purse on Etsy, $10.

Handmade stylus for your iPad on Etsy, $15.95

Moving on to iPhone and other smart phone covers.

Blackberry case from King Ranch, $37. Great for a man.

Burberry iPhone case, $198.

Coach poppy leather universal case, $58.

E-tablet,  iPad and MacBook covers:

Chevron MacBook cover from Etsy, $38.

Longchamp

Ted Baker iPad zipped case, $70.

Last, but not least, Tory Burch.

Tory Burch “Amanda Angelux” E-Tablet sleeve, $195. Available at Nordstrom and Tory Burch.

Bring some style to your basics.

Juicy “Watercolor” mouse and mouse pad, $58.  Available at Nordstrom.

MacBook multi-colored lego keyboard, $11.99.  Available on Etsy.

Even your charger can be updated.

Recharge station from Pottery Barn, $64.

Enchanted Woods iPhone Dock from Anthropologie, $98.

Get your gear out of those cheap clothes and into something better.   They deserve it, right?
