We’re back again with the latest edition of our SB Hot List. In this series, we share the things we’ve recently discovered that make our days a little bit brighter, easier or more fun. From Netflix specials we love to tools we didn’t know we needed, these are the items we cannot stop talking about right now.

The SB Hot List

Fifty Things That are Not My Fault

“I have been reading Fifty Things That are Not My Fault. It’s written by Cathy Guisewite, who is the artist behind the “Cathy” cartoon. She beautifully illustrates (this time with words) what it’s like to be sandwiched between raising her daughter and tending to her aging parents, warts and all. It’s a series of short essays, so it’s easy to read in chunks if I don’t have a ton of time on my hands.”

– Ashley Haugen, Managing Editor

Fifty Things That Are Not My Fault is a favorite of SB’s Editorial Director Ashley Haugen.

Brene Brown’s The Call to Courage

“I’ve been a fan of Brown’s Ted Talk and books for some time, and this special is just as moving as her previous work. In her new Netflix special, The Call to Courage, she tackles the relationship between courage and vulnerability in a way that will make you laugh and cry.”

– Lacy Green, Traffic Manager

“Everyone should see the movie Mustang directed by Robert Redford.”

– Ginny Staggs, Director of Sales

“Sleep With Me: The Podcast That Puts You to Sleep”

“The concept of this podcast is simple. Host Drew Ackerman tells hour-long, improvised ‘bedtime stories for adults.’ Each story is horribly pointless and monotonous, with a healthy dosage of humor to keep it light. I have always had a rough time falling asleep, but since finding this podcast I’ve been regularly falling asleep within 20 to 30 minutes. It’s saved me!”

– Jesse Gillenwalters, SB Data Analyst

Vocoo Pet Hair Remover, $16.99

“Adding a yellow lab to our fur-family, bringing us to two cats and two dogs, has brought an entirely new level to pet hair on EVERYTHING. This little device is the best pet hair remover I’ve ever had. After purchasing one, and being amazed by the ease and results, I bought more so that they are strategically placed throughout the house and in each car. They’re $16.99.”

– Liza Graves, CEO

This handy tool is the best our CEO has ever found for removing pet hair!

Zep Foaming Wall Cleaner

“This is far from exciting, but it is spring cleaning time. Zep Foaming Wall Cleaner will remove scuffs, handprints, etc., on painted surfaces without damaging the finish.”

– Connie Prince, SB Nashville Account Executive

Add this to your spring cleaning arsenal!

Therapy Systems Non-Surgical Eye Lift

This product is AMAZING. Literally Botox in a jar. Put it on at night, and in the morning your under eyes are NOTICEABLY tighter and have WAY fewer wrinkles.”

– Amanda Stanfill, SB Memphis Account Executive

Call it “Botox in a jar” … and we’re sold.

Rarecat rosé

“This is a delightful rosé! Perfectly balanced and exactly what you want to drink on a warm spring afternoon. You can only order via their wine club, but it’s reasonably priced, and that just means you’ll have a good stockpile to start the warmer months off right.”

– Megan Casey, Marketing Director

Cheers to rosé weather!

Indie Lee Brightening Cleanser

I’ve been using this cleanser for a couple of months now, and my skin has NEVER felt or looked better. Plus it smells like fresh strawberries!

– Lauren Uebele, Business Coordinator

Bonus: This is a clean beauty product!

Peppermint Beadlets

“When you think of someone who is avidly using and extremely knowledgeable surrounding all things essential oil, I am not that person. But my mom gave me these peppermint beadlets because I had been traveling a lot and feeling some discomfort in my head and stomach. She assured me that one or two of these little beadlets would instantly make me feel better, and though I was extremely skeptical at first, they really help. I keep a little bottle in all my bags!”

– Peyton Haecker, SB Nashville Client Success Representative

These peppermint beadlets help with stomach and head discomfort.

Jeffrey Campbell Sandals

“I’m currently obsessed with these Jeffrey Cambell sandals. Trying to explain the color to a friend will not do them justice. While ‘rainbow snakeskin’ may not sound super cute, it’s surprisingly versatile and the perfect way to spice up an outfit!”

– Millie Kirkland, SB Intern

The wide heel on these makes them more comfortable!

Soludos Cadiz Sandals

Soludos Cadiz Sandal has a leather cushioned footbed making it one of the most comfortable sandals in my closet.”

– Connie Prince, SB Nashville Account Executive

We love a platform sandal for spring!

Chambray Wrap Dress

“Warmer weather has me reaching for simple staples when I get dressed in the morning. This wrap dress from GAP has become my go-to at least once a week. The material is soft and breathable, and I love the silhouette. It has taken me from office to drinks multiple times … just add bright lipstick and a fun handbag!”

– Annie Reeves, SB Nashville Lead Writer & Associate Editor

The neckline, fabric and ease of this dress make it one you’ll reach for every day!
