Hard to believe it’s already September! Summer certainly flew by, but lucky for us, the changing of the season means local merchants are also changing their inventory. We stopped into a few places to see what’s already in the mix . Here are 20 items we’re loving right now.
We’re always on the hunt for a cute tote bag to stash in the car to have on hand for last minute errands. We found exactly what we were looking for with this geometric tote from Theory Design Studio for $22. Not only is it cute, it’s also sturdy, and the leather straps lay flat and comfortably on your shoulder. We couldn’t believe how affordable it was either! Located at 1405 East Boulevard, Theory is Dilworth’s newest addition — and definitely worth visiting.
Step up your bag game with a handcrafted bag from OleksynPrannyK. The high-quality Horween Dubin leather bags are made only a few miles outside of Charlotte city limits in Mooresville, North Carolina. The company can tailor your tote to your specifications, including colored seams, lettering or stamping. Our favorite tan bag starts at $149.
Like being organized but want something more stylish than the typical, boring black calendar? We found the ultimate planner from Rifle Paper Co. at Paper Twist for $36. Not only is it really pretty, it’s also really light so you won’t get tired of carrying it.
We’ve found our go-to fall outfit with this Lilla P dress from Monkees of Charlotte for $174. The black and white horizontal stripes and classic fit make it perfect for any occasion.

Thanks to Image Skincare, you won’t have to worry about compromising your beauty routine while on the go! The company offers several different five-piece travel skincare kits based on your skin type. Kits include a cleanser, anti-oxidant serum, moisturizer with SPF 30, balancing gel mask and repair creme. Our favorite is the Ormedic kit that restores and balances skin, which is much needed after lots of travel, especially on a plane. You can grab yours before your next trip at Satin Med Spa for $20.

Full of 12 vitamins, antioxidants and nutrients, you’re supposed to put the patch on before drinking — and you’ll feel good in the morning. Doctor’s orders! Just kidding … but it’s worth a shot. We found ours at Woo Skincare and Cosmetics for $4.

We absolutely fell in love with this handcast 24K gold bee necklace we found at Traveling Chic Boutique the minute we saw it! Not only is it beautiful, but the Susan Shaw necklace can be paired with just about anything. Get yours at Traveling Chic for $73.50.
FOOD AND DRINK
Stock your bar cart and put a twist on classic cocktails with Jack Rudy Cocktail Co.’s tonics. Hand-crafted in Charleston, South Carolina, the small-batch tonics come in flavors like elderflower and sweet tea! Earl’s Grocery carries them for $19.99.
For the cooks in your life, Pour Olive has a great gift option with their six-pack sampler of mini bottles. You can mix and match their ultra premium olive oils to suit any taste, and the helpful staff can also make suggestions. Get the six-pack sampler for $30 and single minis for $6 each.
Whether you’re looking for an afternoon snack or something to take to a party, pick up a few boxes of Dee Dee’s Gourmet Cheese Straws. The local company offers three flavors: original, jalapeño and pimento cheese. Cotswold Marketplace carries Dee Dee’s straws for $5.75.

We always love to find unique ways to explore and, thanks to The Great NC BBQ Map created by Charlotte’s own EDIA Maps, we now have an excuse to travel and eat lots of barbecue!
