The Pumpkin Spice EVERYTHING craze is out of control. It’s omnipresent this fall season. I read recently that 19 percent of all restaurant menus currently contain a pumpkin item. Pumpkin spice is becoming the apple pie flavor and scent of the 21st century … it just makes people feel cozy.
With plaid and pumpkin everywhere, we think the current look is SOOOO Pumpkin Spice Lifestyle. Think of drinking pumpkin spice lattes while you pick apples under the falling autumn leaves while pining for the first day the pond freezes over so you can get out your ice skates and twirl for hours … ahhhh, that’s Pumpkin Spice Lifestyle!
So here you have it, our pumpkin spice lifestyle shoot, which chronicles a day in the life of a pumpkin spice gal. Enjoy!
Models today are from StyleBlueprint’s corporate office, all of whom specifically work with all of our SB markets.
Before Noon, the Perfectly Pumpkin Spice Lifestyle Way
7:30 a.m. — The latte
Life is just better with a pumpkin spice latte. Are you starting each morning with one? We hope you are eating apples and have sunflowers on hand, too … while wearing cashmere in earth tones and oranges.
8 a.m. — Your cereal
After your latte perks you up, sit by some pumpkins and eat your Mini-Wheats and Puffins, each seasonally flavored, of course! Bonus points for wearing a plaid shirt with a quilted vest.
8:45 a.m. — Lotion time!
At this point, you’ll likely want to bathe in the pumpkin spice smell, but you don’t have time to take another shower. Instead, drench your arms in this trendy-smelling lotion. Beware if you have any pets who also love all-things-pumpkin. A tassel necklace completes this perfect moment.
9:15 a.m. — Pumpkin up your pooch!
Speaking of pets, if Fido is getting jealous of everything else having the pumpkin spice scent, he’s in luck! Oh, sweet pup, you, too, can be spritzed into the season. And wearing a gray cashmere turtleneck simply confirms for your pup that you clearly know what’s on-trend! Spritz him off in the bathroom for extra bathroom scents … always a welcome thing.
10 a.m. — Time for some pumpkin spice “me” time
Now that you have had your cereal and your latte, and the family is bathed in the smells of the season, you’re due for a little break. Take some quiet time to engage your mind with some Pumpkin Spice Sudoku. It’s a perplexing word game made even more addictive with this seasonal theme. Make sure to have some ankle pants, booties and a cashmere wrap to savor your “me” time properly.
10:45 a.m. — Gather with your girlfriends
Now that you’ve experienced so much pumpkin spice joy, you’re likely having a sugar crash. No doubt your best girlfriends are experiencing this, too. Call them over and eat more pumpkin-spiced delicacies, like Hostess Cupcakes and Pop-Tarts, both available in this seasonal flavor. All of you must wear your floppy felt hats, cashmere, booties and scarves. Bonus points here for the suede bag and anything fringe. You’ll be back to giggles in no time!
11:15 a.m. — Time for a run!
At this point, you’ve consumed thousands of calories, and it’s not even lunch hour. Time for a run, ladies! Get your exercise clothes on and grab a piece of Trident Layers pumpkin spice-flavored gum. YUM! And the days are shorter, so please, please, please buy a white jacket with light-reflecting technology. Enough with the black workout wear at dusk/night!
11:45 a.m. — Don’t forget about Baby!
Is Baby casting a covetous glance, making you feel guilty that you, your girlfriends and your pup have all enjoyed pumpkin spice but she has not? No worries! Dress that baby in some plaid, the most pumpkin-y lifestyle pattern out there, and let her partake! She’ll snuggle right into all your cashmere as you prepare her new favorite beverage, made for wee ones under 12 months old. Spit up and diapers have never smelled so good!
Have a wonderful weekend!
