Every year when the holidays roll around we’ll get asked what we want for Christmas at least a dozen times or so — and most of the time we’re all very practical and ask for items that are useful and affordable, but what’s the fun in that? So we decided to put together a list full of luxurious items that are 100% splurges and we’ll probably never actually purchase — but we’d be absolutely ecstatic to find them under the tree.

Santa, we hope you’re listening!

Stationery set

Every Southerner should have at least one really nice set of stationery for those times where something plain just won’t do — you know, like when you’re writing thank you letters after an interview and you really want to stand out. The grand silk stationery wardrobe from Paper Twist is the ultimate stationery set and has everything you need from beautiful lined envelopes to letter-pressed monograms. We really like that you can mix things up with four different designs as well. You can purchase your very own set for $350.

Cuff

Make a statement with this incredible jeweled cuff from Sloan Boutique. It’s sure to catch attention and upgrade any outfit from drab to fabulous! We know it’s flashy, but everyone deserves to wear some sparkle — and boy does it sparkle! It caught our attention all the way across the showroom floor. Add one to your jewelry box for $120.

Natura Bisse

We’ve been told that this product is basically a miracle in a jar and will completely change the way you think of skincare. Natura Bisse Inhibit-Tensolift can be used to fill and lift lines and wrinkles instead of using invasive treatments or botox. Women who have used it say they saw results within a few days, and if there’s something out there that will keep needles away from our faces, we’re definitely up for trying it. Woo Skincare and Cosmetics carries it for $730.

Chunky knit throw

We’re dreaming of spending a lazy afternoon on the couch wrapped up in one of these chunky knit throws. They are extremely soft, and you can imagine how warm the wool will keep you on a cold winter day. They come in three neutral colors — cream, light grey and medium grey — which will go with just about any room’s decor. You can find them at B.D. Jeffries for $275.

Amazon amethyst

When it comes to interior design, we’ve learned that there are some pieces to splurge on and others to save on. This beautiful amazon amethyst is definitely something worth splurging on to update our coffee table. We love the striking contrast between the deep purple amethyst and gold. Cotswold Marketplace carries it for $150.

Clutch

This will quickly become your go-to clutch for a night on the town — it’s absolutely perfect for a holiday party or any black tie event. We fell in love with the high-quality leather and think the festive gold bow is the perfect added touch to really stand out from your typical black clutch. Prepare for lots of compliments! Find it at Capitol Charlotte for $929.

Sleep shirt

You’ll definitely have to set an alarm if you plan to snooze in The Sleep Shirt from Poole Shop. The oversized button down has garnered such popularity for its classic look and comfort that even Vogue has written about it — and we’ll say it’s definitely an upgrade from the usual Gap sleep tee we’re used to wearing. They come in several shapes, sizes and colors and are a great option to pack for a trip. Poole Shop carries them for $226.

Sconce

We mentioned that there are certain pieces that should be splurged on when it comes to interior decor, and these wall sconces are definitely one of those have-to-have, worth-the-money pieces. We love the simple and classic look of the grey with the gold stamped metal. Plus there are so many options of what you can do with them. We’d like to line a hallway with them or hang them in the entryway where they’ll be the focal piece as soon as you walk in the door. You can purchase a set at Granville for $350.

Pinstripe pillow

We are suckers for classic grey pinstripes — they’re just so timeless and go with just about anything. So when we found this pinstriped down pillow, we knew we hit the jackpot. Not only is it beautiful, but also super soft and functional, unlike a lot of decorative throw pillows. Purchase a set of two from Granville for $475.

Cashmere scarf

When we think of luxury, we think of cashmere. And this beautiful almond and grey striped cashmere scarf is the epitome of luxury. It’s so soft you won’t want to take it off, and its neutral tones ensure it goes with everything. Stay warm and fashionable this winter with your own from LUNA for $356.
