Adding false eyelashes to your makeup arsenal doesn’t mean going around looking like you have deranged caterpillars clinging onto your face for dear life, or spiders procreating while sucking the life out of your eyeballs. On the contrary, the proper false fringe can give you a natural looking, thick, full lash line. And it is super easy to do once you get the hang of it!

No longer just for the likes of Nicki Minaj and Lady Gaga, false eyelashes have come a long way and are a simple, easy to apply addition to your beauty routine to step up your look for a photo shoot or special occasion.

I had to enhance this photo so much to get a good look at the lashes that my skin looks like an orange peel!

Here’s a simple tutorial to give you that coquettish, glamorous look…

Start by doing your makeup as you would normally, including a swipe of mascara. Next squeeze out a line of lash glue and drag your lash strip through the glue to coat evenly, but not too heavily. Hold the strip for about 20 seconds to allow the glue to become tacky and then gently lay it on top of your own lashes, pressing into place to get a secure fit. If you’re a first timer, I suggest practicing this motion several times before applying the glue to get a feel for how and where you want the lashes to end up.

These are the ones I used - purchased from Walmart.

Don’t worry if you don’t get it just right. Grab your fine tipped liner and just fill in the area. It also helps to draw a line over the entire lash line on both eyes for a more naturally made up look.

Fill in any gaps with a fine tipped liner.

All better! Just fill in any gaps with a fine tipped liner.
