Do you ever feel like you can’t keep up with advances in digital marketing, social media, website development, management techniques and more? Small business owners are unique in that they have to be well-versed in their core business offering but are also responsible for making strategic financial, marketing and technical decisions every day.
Luckily, there are (free!) resources that cover a myriad of subjects relevant to small business entrepreneurs.
Here are three recommended resources for free continuing education:
1. edX: A collaboration between Harvard and MIT, edX offers courses from top universities that cover subjects such as marketing fundamentals, accounting essentials and even work/life balance.
2. MOOC List: MOOC stands for massive open online courses. MOOC List is an aggregator of several MOOC services that all offer free courses. You can search by category and the course start dates.
3. MIT Open Courseware: Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) uploads most of their courses to this website for anyone to access for free. MIT states, “Through OCW, educators improve courses and curricula, making their schools more effective; students find additional resources to help them succeed; and independent learners enrich their lives.”
