Thanksgiving is a time for family, a time for remembering what we’re grateful for, a time for eating and, well, a time for drinking, too. Instead of the usual cocktails, serve one of these four great recipes from our friends at Heaven Hill Distilleries to your Thanksgiving guests and family.
1 oz. Caramel Flavored Vodka
Add ingredients over ice in cocktail shaker. Shake and strain into a martini glass.
Bourbon Cider Twist
4 ½ oz. Evan Williams Apple Orchard
1 cup sugar
2 tbsp. whole cloves, crushed
1 three inch piece fresh ginger, peeled and thinly sliced
1 cinnamon stick
1 tsp. fresh lemon juice
Dried apple slice, to garnish
Boil 1 cup water in a small saucepan. Remove from heat; stir in sugar, cloves, ginger, and cinnamon; let sit for 1 hour. Strain and chill syrup. Mix ¾ oz. ginger syrup, Evan Williams Apple Orchard and juice in a shaker with ice; shake to chill. Strain into a martini glass; garnish with apple.
2 oz. PAMA
1/4 oz. fresh lemon juice
1/2 oz. clove syrup*
5 oz. hot apple cider
In a coffee mug or tempered glass, build in this order: lemon juice, clove syrup and PAMA. Gently stir and top with hot apple cider. Garnish with lemon slice.
*To make clove syrup: 1 tsp. whole clove, 1 cup boiling water, 1 cup sugar. Add cloves to boiling water and reduce heat, steep for 10 minutes, remove from heat, strain and add sugar. Stir until sugar dissolves.
3/4 oz. Evan Williams Bourbon
3/4 oz. apple liqueur
5 oz. spiced cider
Build in mug and garnish with cinnamon stick.
