Tucked around the back of Westside Provisions District  (on the 2nd level near the bridge) you will find Calypso St. Barth, a boutique made for the style treasure hunter. A sparkling gem of a store, ready to entertain and be adored, the atmosphere within immediately conjures the casual luxury of the namesake collection. The Calypso St. Barth line began 20 years ago, growing from French resort wear into an upscale, boho-chic brand with a devoted clientele.

No mystery as to the source of devotion, this is a carefully curated collection. In addition to the Calypso St. Barth label, other designers sharing the same aesthetic blend seamlessly into the racks and shelves. Every detail has been considered, from function and feel to color and quality. Accessories compliment each look and allow for effortless layering and endless possibilities and configurations–dress this up even more, dress that down a bit, add this or that for a new twist.

Ladylike Anniel ballet flats line up to show off their dainty appeal ($295). The selection of shoes available at the boutique are coordinated with the designs of the season.

Fabrics beg to be touched–cashmere, silk, fine-gauge cotton, kid leather–and are chosen with travel in mind. Not only are most pieces very packable, Calypso St. Barth intentionally mirrors the exotic and extensive travels of its followers. This is a collection that moves from dinner date to departure gate … and then on to cosmopolitan event.

Westside Store Manager Beth Gearheard put together some versatile looks for us. Here, some of their transitional fall pieces and best sellers are modeled by her lovely style associate, Alissa Miller.

The semi-sheer maxi Duca dress, by Of Two Minds ($375), cinches in at the waist before cascading into layers of chiffon from the knee down. This AG Denim jacket ($195) sells out regularly — light and perfectly fitted, it’s a casual wardrobe staple. Hoss zipback booties in Barolow Grey ($395) perfectly finish almost any outfit.

Alissa kicks back in the Riyad silk dress in seaglass ($295) and Yali vest ($595) with Antik Batik’s Austeen embroidered clutch ($185). The Hoss zipback bootie works here as well, this time in tan ($395).

Calypso’s ikat-printed, silk Keena mini dress ($295) has a comfy heather grey stretch cotton liner for a little extra stability. That lightweight lambskin leather Moto jacket by illia ($695) truly fits like a glove.

Here she comes, looking phenomenal in the dark espresso Mila silk top with bronze grommet detailing ($265) and Manhattan boot-cut jeans ($205) by Paige Denim. An Enshallah Claudia fringe bag ($450) and the Katie cuff ($195) take an incredible outfit up one more notch.

Here is the Marie cowl neck sweater dress ($275) woven in a richly-colored chevron print with baby alpaca yarn. Yes, it’s that soft. Gorgeous.
