In the second week of our Email Marketing for Your Small Business series, we’re sharing four affordable email service provider options. Email marketing may seem intimidating and cost-prohibitive; however, there are several platforms that charge less than $100 per month and still include advanced features.
1. MailChimp is our recommendation for businesses just starting out. For exactly $0 per month (yes, that means it’s free!), businesses can market to up to 2,000 email subscribers six times per month (there’s a maximum of 12,000 email sends per month). Mailchimp doesn’t skimp on features for their free plan partners either. Take advantage of marketing automation (more on that in next week’s SB Media email), sign up forms, mobile responsible templates and reporting.
2. If you’re looking for additional features and already have a list of over 2,000 subscribers, Sendinblue is a great next level option. Note: We do not recommend Sendinblue for lists under 2,000 because while they do offer a free plan, you’re only allowed to send 300 emails per day at their base level. At their “Essential” level, businesses have access to SMS, email personalization features and advanced reporting for a mere $39 per month.
3. For businesses with ecommerce offerings, your best bet is to utilize a service with advanced marketing automation and integration options. For less than $90 per month, both Emma and Drip can offer dynamic content, advanced trigger campaigns and customer segmentation by purchase data.
Stay tuned for the third installment of our series next week! We’ll be covering content ideas and techniques to get the most return out of your time and monetary investments in email marketing.
