Even if you aren’t a pattern-wearer, you likely have a little plaid in your wardrobe. It’s a pattern that everyone seems to love, whether it’s gingham in the summer or a tartan plaid when the weather cools off. And, December calls for plaid like no other month!

Brighten your wardrobe with some of these plaid picks … and we went heavy on the shoes, as in plaid shoes. So fun! Then, we added a little sparkle to the season with a few baubles we think finish off outfits from casual to cocktail.

Add either a matching scarf or one that contrasts nicely. This is a great look for a casual holiday party. Replace the velvet blazer with a puffer vest with faux fur trim for a more casual look. Finish with velvet shoes (like these flats with a bow), booties or swap the boot cut jeans for skinnies and add a pair of knee high or over-the-knee boots like these or for a steeper price, these.
