Holiday decor is something we take seriously at StyleBlueprint, and this time of year, we’re on the hunt for the merriest garlands, trimmings and accessories. Imagine our delight when we stumbled upon a winter wonderland at Buckhead’s Lucy’s Market. Truthfully, Lucy’s is always brimming with inspiration, but their selection of seasonal items is unmatched. We meandered through the market with wide, twinkling eyes while we filled our baskets with everything from lucite reindeer to front door wreaths. Kim Wilson has topped herself once again by sourcing the best seasonal decor for the winter holidays. In fact, we wouldn’t be surprised if these two were undercover elves for Santa himself. As you plan your own winter wonderland, don’t miss the sensational selection of holiday decor at Lucy’s Market.
Greet guests with good tidings.
Nothing says “Happy Holidays!” like a front porch dressed to the nines in gorgeous greenery. With a vast selection of garland and wreaths, both faux and fresh, Lucy’s has exactly what you need to welcome guests to your home. The market carries everything from Magnolia and Boxwood wreaths, to embellished wreaths, to whimsical wreaths. See a wreath that you simply must-have but need it in a different size? No problem. You can place an order during the first two weeks of December. In addition to filling your head with loads of inspiration, the staff at Lucy’s Market is available to help you decide which greenery would be best for your home. Of course, no wreath is complete without a bow. Choose between simple burlap ribbon or luxurious velvet, and have Lucy’s brilliant bow-makers create something just for you. Bows start at $35, and wreaths start at $65.
Incorporate holly jolly Santas.
Santa and Christmas go hand-in-hand. Whether you’re a Santa collector or a first-time buyer, you’ll enjoy perusing Lucy’s Santa selection. Ornate, beautifully made Santas can make a statement as an elegant collection or look merry standing alone. Lucy Wilson, Lucy’s Market Director of PR and Marketing, says the Santas “create memories that last for your children and grandchildren.” Some of the shop’s Santas are so special that they’re numbered, and a few are even made by famed holiday collectibles artist Mark Roberts. If you’re a collector, be sure to stop in to shop for a few Santas of your own, and don’t miss the life-sized Santa (also for sale!) greeting you at the front of the store.
Trim your tree.
Trimming a Christmas tree is one of our favorite holiday traditions. We love the idea of turning on some holiday tunes, preparing some hot chocolate and spending a few hours decorating the tree. Of course, in order to decorate a tree, you have to have a tree. Lucy’s offers a selection of vintage-inspired tinsel trees that fill us with nostalgia. They come complete with colored lights, which, according to Lucy, make them feel “very cool, vintage and hip.” Once you’ve selected your tree, bounce around Lucy’s Market looking for fairy lights, ribbons and ornaments. Their hand-painted ornaments are stunning and capture light beautifully, and their collection of wooden, farmhouse-chic ornaments are not to be missed either. With tree adornments for every decor style, you’re sure to find exactly what you’re looking for.
Sprinkle in reindeer, too.
Every Santa needs a team of reindeer, and Lucy’s reindeer come in a variety of different styles. We love their stunning Lucite reindeer that come in several different stances — and there really is a deer for every personality. Reindeer range from wooden to white to pink velour. Can you imagine the lucky little girl who gets to decorate her room with a few pink velour reindeer, a tinsel tree and some fairy lights? Sounds like a bedroom fit for a Sugarplum Fairy indeed.
Stock-up on paper products.
Pour your party punch into cheeky holiday cups, grab a festive cocktail napkin, and enjoy the spirit of the season with friends and family. At Lucy’s you can stock-up on a variety of paper products for any casual holiday gathering you might be having (or attending!). If you’re in charge of napkins and plates for your kids’ classroom parties, Lucy’s is the spot to grab them. You’ll find Santa plates and elf napkins or just about any other motif you can imagine. It also might be a good idea to grab a few cocktail napkins for yourself. Put them on your bar cart or out at a party to add a dose of Christmas cheer without getting your tinsel in a tangle over the hassle of linen napkins.
‘Tis the season of giving, after all, and Lucy’s makes last-minute yet thoughtful gifts easy. Their baskets are perfect presents for new neighbors, teachers and hostesses. Lucy’s baskets come in a variety of sizes for every budget, so you can fill them with as much or as little as you’d like. One idea that we can’t help but love is picking up a filled-to-the-brim basket for any Dirty Santa parties you have on your calendar. We can imagine a basket of Lucy’s treats would get stolen a few times and would be the most memorable gift of the party! Another small gift that we’re smitten by is a cute hand towel, “You can’t have too many. They’re great hostess gifts, too. You can take a linen and that’s it, or pair it with a candle or a snack,” Kim explains. We recommend purchasing a few and keeping them on hand for all of your holiday gift-giving needs.
