We’re about midway through summer now. We’ve vacationed, graduated, celebrated, festivaled, barbecued and picnicked. We’ve shuffled kids to day camps and sports camps and sleep-away camps. We’ve ponied up for concert tickets and big game tickets and theme park passes and water slide wristbands. We’ve fired up the grill, filled the coolers and, well, emptied our wallets in the process. Don’t sweat it — we’ve found some midsummer dreams to lift the haze no matter what the status of the summer funds. (And once again, a big shout out to our summer intern, Elizabeth Forestner, for research.)

La Roche-Posay Skin Care

Friends have raved to us about the La Roche-Posay skin care line. As the fancy name implies, La Roche-Posay was developed in France. And since the French are usually spot-on when it comes to beauty, we had to try it! We liked the face wash — it did a great job cleansing without drying our skin. They have multiple products available based on your skin type. Around $20. Available at Walgreens and Target. www.laroche-posay.us
