We miss spring and its bloomy, lovely weather. We’ve rounded up a slew of March events to entertain the entire family and – with the hopeful cooperation of Mother Nature – you’ll be packing up those winter coats and getting outdoors in no time!

March and April 2019: Atlanta Blooms

The tulips are coming! The tulips are coming! Oh, and the daffodils, hyacinth and crocus! With the start of March comes the start of Atlanta’s gorgeous flower bloom, and now an explosion of color awaits you at the Atlanta Botanical Garden. Admission is $21.95 for adults, $15.95 for children ages 3 to 12 and free for children under 3 and Garden members. Be sure to check out the Orchid Display House while you’re there. March 2, 2019: 16th Annual Oyster Crawfish Festival

It’s crawfish season and this festival celebrates with oysters, crawfish and drinks in the true Cajun spirit! Join the fun at Park Tavern and hear live music including Blair Crimmins & the Hookers, Ruby Velle & the Soulphonics, Saved by the Band and more. Doors open and 2 p.m. and you won’t want to leave! Lawn tickets are just $7 (furry friends are welcome there), general admission is $35, and VIP is $75. For more info, check the website.

March 2, 2019: Beer, Bourbon and BBQ Festival

Nothing like B-B-Q: beer, bourbon and Q … as in barbecue! Stroll by tables of beer and bourbon and try as many types as you like (or your belly can hold), then choose from a tasty selection of barbecue cuts. Enjoy live music as you taste your way through the day, refilling that souvenir glass and toasting the start of spring. General admission tickets start at $40; VIP Bacon and Whole Hog tickets are $85 and include two extra hours of tastings as well as other perks.

March 2, 2019: Pub Crawl on the Beltline

There are so many new restaurants and bars popping up on the Beltline that it’s hard to stay current on the latest and greatest. Pub Crawl on the Beltline has you covered. Bask in the spring weather and take in the stunning views as you explore the area’s many eateries and watering holes. Grab your tickets for this year’s pub crawl! Participating spots include Guac y Margs, Hampton + Hudson Community Bar, Bell Street Burritos and many more.

March 7-19, 2019: Atlanta Jewish Music Festival

The theme of this year’s Atlanta Jewish Music Festival is a celebration of “Jewish contributions to American Music”. For more than a week, different venues across Atlanta will host concerts and engaging conversations on Jewish music heritage. Check the website for program schedule and how to get tickets.

March 8, 2019: ‘Women Create’ Art Show

Celebrate International Women’s Month at the ‘Women Create’ Art Show opening, a joint project from Trinity Mercantile & Design and the Decatur Art Alliance. The event will showcase photography, paintings, ceramics and jewelry from local and international female artists. Get shopping at Trinity Mercantile & Design in Decatur from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Collections range in price and will remain in-store through April 14.

March 9, 2019: Atlanta United Block Party

Edgewood Avenue will be shut down on Saturday, March 9, for the raucous Atlanta United Block Party. This is the ultimate celebration of our beloved soccer (aka football) team, and things are going to get wild as everyone preps for the first match of the season. Kits on. Flags out. March 9, 2019: Atlanta Brunch Festival

The only thing better than brunch is a fest o’ brunch! Atlantic Station will host the mother of all Marys – Bloody Marys that is (plus mimosas, beer and wine) – as well as top breakfast and brunch items from some of Atlanta’s best restaurants. Bottomless drink tickets are $45 in advance, which include general admission (just general admission tickets cost $15 in advance) – food costs extra. For more information, visit the website.

March 9-23, 2019: Atlanta Science Festival

Atlantans of all ages unite to celebrate science and technology at Centennial Olympic Park. Expose young minds to fantastic events like the robot uprising launch event with a droid comedian, robotic musician and army of interactive robots! Check the website for a listing of all events, start times and associated costs.

March 15-17, 2019: American Craft Show

Check out more than 230 top apparel, jewelry and home décor artists from across the country at the American Craft Atlanta Show, the largest juried, indoor craft show in the Southeast. Get up close and personal with fabulous American craftsmanship at the Cobb Galleria Centre! Advance tickets are $12, and the event is free for American Craft Council members and children under 12.

March 16, 2019: ShamRock ‘N Roll Road Race

Before you fill up on Guinness in honor of St. Patrick’s Day, burn those calories at the ShamRock N’ Roll Road Race hosted by the Junior League of Atlanta. The fun begins at 8:30 a.m. in Atlantic Station with participants ready to run, jog and walk to the finish line (FYI, this is a Peachtree Road Race qualifier). 5K and 10K registration is $40 for individuals; $35 for teams; and $15 for the 1K Kids Fun Run.

March 16, 2019: Atlanta St. Patrick’s Day Parade

Atlanta St. Patrick’s Day Parade is one of the city’s longest-running events. Don your green and come see more than 2,000 Irish dancers, giant balloons, musicians, impressive floats, Clydesdales and the world’s largest Irish walking flag! It’s family-friendly and starts at noon, rain or shine, on Peachtree Street in Midtown. Get there early to scope out your spot on the parade trail!

March 17, 2019: Publix Atlanta Marathon & Half Marathon, 5K

The Publix Atlanta Marathon (formerly Georgia Marathon and Half Marathon) welcomes anyone who loves running – from the serious marathoner, to the 5K lover, to the spectator cheering them on. The race happens at Centennial Olympic Park at 7 a.m. and registration costs depend on when you sign up, and which event you want to run or walk.

March 20-23, 2019: High Museum Wine Auction

Wine and art pair perfectly together, so it’s no surprise that the annual High Museum Wine Auction has become Atlanta’s No. 1 charity wine auction benefitting the arts. The money raised from the event helps fund the Museum’s exhibition and education plans. Many festivities make up the event, including the winemaker dinners held in beautiful private Atlanta homes where prolific winemakers and chefs curate intimate, one-of-a-kind experiences! March 22-31, 2019: Macon, Georgia’s International Cherry Blossom Festival

We know that Macon is a bit of a schlep, but trust us, the drive will be worth it when you pull up to the most beautiful, delicate cherry blossoms you’ve ever seen. For 9 days, festivalgoers are immersed in Mother Nature’s extravagant display of Yoshino cherry blossoms. Besides the trees, you can expect parades, concerts, a bed race, a ball and SO much more.

March 25, 2019: An Evening with Carol Burnett

Enjoy a nostalgic evening of laughter and fun with comedy icon Carol Burnett at Cobb Energy. This television superstar, whose show won more than 25 Emmy awards, will perform some of the best moments of her comedy career as well as answer questions from the audience. The show starts at 7:30 p.m. and tickets vary based on seating preference.

March 31, 2019: Spring Market

Kick off Indie Craft Experience’s first market of 2019 at the annual Spring Market, taking place at the Yaarab Temple from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Entry is $5 at the door (kids are free) and will allow guests to view the amazing creations of more than 60 talented artists and vendors. There will also be food and drinks available for purchase, and the first 100 attendees get a sweet swag bag!
