Sometimes, February can seem like a tough month — the sky is perpetually gray and summer seems ages away, not to mention the in-your-face nature of Valentine’s Day. But there is SO much going on in Atlanta this month … perhaps you heard about the Super Bowl coming to town?!! So grab your friends, your family or your significant other, and brush off those winter blues with these great happenings. Through February 3, 2019: Super Bowl Experience Driven by Hyundai

Sports fans rejoice! Atlanta has become a mecca for all things pigskin, Ram and Patriot. Football is the name of the game this first weekend of February — even if you don’t have tickets to the Big Game, you can have a good ol’ time at the Super Bowl Experience Driven by Hyundai. This is the NFL’s interactive theme park that celebrates Super Bowl LIII with immersive exhibits, amazing games, photo opportunities and much more. Ticket prices fluctuate based on selected days, times and demand.

January 31 – February 2, 2019: Super Bowl Music Fest

Forget tackling, we’re all about dancing! This year’s Super Bowl Music Fest takes place at State Farm Arena and the entire city of Atlanta (and all visitors) will have a chance to jam out to some of the most talented musicians in the business! On Thursday, Atlanta-legend Ludacris performs with Migos; on Friday, Aerosmith and Post Malone lead the show; and on Saturday, Super Bowl eve, Bruno Mars and Cardi B bring the house down in an epic performance. Tickets start at $70 and are sure to sell fast, so get yours now before they’re gone!

February 1, 2019: Shaq’s Fun House at The Battery

Famed athlete-turned-celebrity Shaq does everything big, and his Fun House is no exception! Part circus, part carnival, part festival and all fun, Shaq’s Fun House celebrates the Big Game coming to Atlanta with awesome live music, mystifying circus performances and just plain magic. Diplo, Migos, Tiesto, Lil John, T-Pain and more major artists are coming to perform at The Battery for the event. This age 21+ event has tickets starting at $399.99. February 2, 2019: Taste of the NFL at Cobb Galleria

Taste of the NFL is an annual strolling wine and food event that features a chef from the host city (in this case, Kevin Rathbun) serving a signature dish alongside a current/alumni NFL player (in this case, Chris Draft). If you rather eat pork rinds than toss pigskins, this event is for you. Ticket holders will get to taste food from more than 35 food stations, meet NFL legends, bid in a silent auction and much more. The event will take place at 7 p.m. and tickets start at $700.

February 2, 2019: Atlanta Winter Beer Festival

All you adults over the age of 21, come to Atlantic Station for the 2019 Atlanta Winter Beer Festival. From 1 p.m. to 5 p.m., sample more than 150 beers, wines and ciders, as well as the tasty food trucks. Tickets are $40 in advance and $55 day of. Ticket includes entrance, a souvenir cup and chance to show off your dance moves thanks to DJ Qtip who will be performing. The event will take place 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.

February 3, 2019: Super Bowl LIII

Okay, so we know lots of us may not have tickets to the actual game but it’s still exciting to just know Atlanta will be on every sports fan’s lips this weekend. Whether you’re going to watch the game at your house, avoid downtown traffic at all costs or just flip on the Puppy Bowl, it’s a pretty cool fact to know Mercedes-Benz Stadium is hosting the ultimate football game. The game will take place at 6:30 p.m.

February 6-26, 2019: Atlanta Jewish Film Festival

What has become one of the city’s biggest, most celebrated film festivals spans almost the entire month of February. Many films entered for the 2019 festival — from harrowing documentaries to hilarious comedies. This year’s festival will feature more than 180 screenings with over 70 films from 24 countries. February 7, 2019: The Big Fake Wedding

As wedding season approaches, it’s time to get in the spirit with the Big Fake Wedding at Factory Atlanta in Chamblee. The “ceremony” starts at 7 p.m. and all the “guests” are future brides and grooms looking to meet and make connections with Atlanta wedding vendors. Door open at 6:30 p.m. and the event starts at 7 p.m. on Thursday, February 7. The $25 admission ticket includes light bites, a signature drink, swag bag and the opportunity to get some great ideas for your future nuptials.

February 9, 2019: Midtown Mardi Gras Block Party

Mardi Gras allows you to indulge in everything you’ve been missing from your New Year’s resolutions — and there’s no better way to celebrate than at the Midtown Mardi Gras Block Party! Ticket holders will get to celebrate at over 20 Midtown Entertainment District bars and restaurants, including Tiki Tango, The Nook, Einstein’s and more starting at 7 p.m. on Saturday, February 9. February 9, 2019: Oysterfest with Spiral Entertainment

Whether you like your oysters raw, steamed or fried, you will find your hankering at this wildly popular Oysterfest!  Purchase your tickets early as this event has sold out in past years. The event is 21 and up with parking at Park Tavern and surrounding streets. Doors open at 1 p.m. and tickets start at $12. Thousands will be attending, so don’t miss out on the fun!

February 9 & 10, 2019: Love Stories of Oakland at Oakland Cemetery

Get a look at true everlasting love by touring Oakland Cemetery’s most romantic residents. The hour-long tour explores the symbols of love found throughout the cemetery, as well as the stories sure to make your heart swell. Tickets must be purchased in advance and start at $16 for adults, $12 for students and seniors and $8 for Historic Oakland Foundation members. Children 5 and under are free.

February 15, 2019: Sips Under the Sea at Georgia Aquarium

Whale you be mine? Roses are red, the ocean is blue… Make that Valentine’s Day spirit last by attending Georgia Aquarium’s Sips Under the Sea recurring event. This unique cocktail party is for the over 21 crowd and features delicious food, five full-service bars, a live DJ and of course, the amazing sea life! The party runs from 7 – 10 p.m. and ticket prices start at $9.95 for members and $28.95 for non-members.

February 16, 2019: Cupid’s Undie Run at Big Sky Buckhead

Do Cupid a solid and run (or walk/skip/schmooze) in his honor at Atlanta’s Cupid Undie Run. Why torture your tush in this “brief” race? Your registration fee of $40 now ($45 after February 11) goes toward finding a cure for neurofibromatosis (NF), a genetic tumor disorder.  This party/run hybrid takes place at Big Sky Buckhead from 12-4 p.m. Visit the site to register.

February 16, 2019: 70th Annual Atlanta Camellia Show

February 21, 23 & 24, 2019: Atlanta Ballet 2 Presents Beauty and the Beast at Cobb Energy Centre

Fall in love with one of the most touching romantic stories, Beauty and the Beast. With the help of Atlanta Ballet 2, this one hour ballet is perfect for children 12 years old and younger. The show provides the wonderful introduction to the world of ballet. The performance begins at 7 p.m. on Thursday, February 21, followed by matinee performances at 2 p.m. on February 23 and 24 at Cobb Energy Centre.

February 23, 2019: Black History Month Parade at Hurt Park

Noted as one of the largest celebration of African-American History Month in the country, the Black History Month Parade is an unforgettable celebration of Atlanta’s rich history. The parade begins Saturday at 1 p.m at Hurt Park and concludes at Centennial Olympic Park Drive and Baker Street. This is a great event that kids will love, featuring plenty of fun and music to keep the little ones entertained.

February 23 & 24, 2019: 31st Annual Steamhouse Lounge Oysterfest

Fresh roasted oysters in abundance with bottles of Budweiser beer and a lineup of local bands makes for the perfect fundraiser for The Giving Kitchen. The event runs Saturday, February 23 and Sunday, February 24 from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tickets are on sale now starting at $15.
