As we all know, Atlantans lovingly refer to places around town as being “ITP” or “OTP.” ITP represents the area inside our I-285 perimeter, while OTP represents the area outside of it. While many Atlanta residents tend to stay ITP for their needs, the suburbs are quickly becoming some of the premier shopping destinations in the area. There are tons of great boutiques OTP that are definitely worth the drive, and today we’ve rounded-up a few of our favorites. The next time you feel a trip to suburbia coming on, plan to pop into one of these awesome OTP boutiques.
Brilliant Story Bar, Roswell
934 Canton St., Roswell, GA 30075
Hours: Wednesday & Thursday, noon to 10 p.m.; Friday & Saturday, noon to 11 p.m.; Sunday, noon to 5 p.m.
If a storefront that is part bar/part coffee shop/part boutique doesn’t get you excited to head OTP, we’re not sure what will. Brilliant Story Bar is located in the heart of Roswell on Canton Street. Here, patrons will find walls lined with custom jewelry designs by owners Katie and Jamie Jaffe along with other small-batch goods like stationery, candles and other small gifts. In the center of the store is a long bar where visitors can pull up a seat for a craft beer, glass of wine or cup of coffee, as well as an assortment of snacks and small bites. The concept is unique, and the gorgeous handmade jewelry is the icing on the cake.

984 Canton St., Roswell, GA 30075
Hours: Monday through Thursday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Friday & Saturday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Make your way from Brilliant Story Bar a little farther down Roswell’s Canton Street to Linen and Flax Home, a store where modern sensibility meets traditional farmhouse decor. Essentially, Linen and Flax might be as close to Chip & Joanna’s silos as we’ll ever get in Georgia. Situated in an old house, the store flows as though you are in a home. There’s a quaint front porch, where the front door is flanked by bed swings. Inside, shoppers will find everything from upholstery and coffee tables to wall and tabletop decor, all with a farmhouse-style spin. If you can’t get enough of Linen and Flax Home on Canton Street, head just down the road to their Oak Street Barn for even more housewares.

Owned by mother-daughter team Tammy Lopez and Maddie Morden, the store is filled with unique styles you won’t find at any other boutique on the block. We love the shop’s dedication to playful patterns and funky shapes that encourage us to be in tune to our inner fashionista at all times.
