Co-founder of StyleBlueprint
Although she’s been in Nashville for more than 25 years, Elizabeth Fox is a Memphis native. As the oldest of six children, she learned to be creative and resourceful at a young age since money was a little tight. “I was the designer and seamstress for all my prom dresses; my favorite being the silver lamé with a matching jacket!” she says. Elizabeth attended Catholic schools for 12 years, uniforms being part of the equation, so she can attest that saddle oxfords and plaid skirts can put a damper on anyone’s inner fashionista.
“I have always loved the thrill of the hunt, especially for bargains,” Elizabeth says, “and writing StyleBlueprint has given me purpose as I sleuth around town.” The most fun part for Elizabeth is having a store owner tell her when readers stop by a store that has been written about on StyleBlueprint. “To this day, I still find myself secretly saying, ‘Oh, there are people reading … yippee!!’”
Having spent most of her career in marketing and broadcasting sales, Elizabeth fondly recalls a favorite quote from that period in her life: ”If you can’t go over, go under.”
