Wednesdays through Sundays from September 7 – October 29, the Chinese Lantern Festival will be in full swing. From 5:30 – 9:30 p.m., enjoy the splendor the brilliant creations bring to the Daniel Stowe Botanical Garden. 800 lanterns made by masters of the craft in Zigong, China, the center of lantern heritage, will bedazzle the garden’s grounds. Kung Fu shows, Asian food and authentic Chinese folk art will all be available to enjoy and to purchase. The botanical features installed this past spring include Japanese maples, bamboo, iris, ferns and more, all highlighted by traditional Asian elements such as raked sand. Check out the nightly activity schedule and plan not to miss this astoundingly beautiful event.
