Whether they’re frozen, on the rocks, or spiked with jalapeno, strawberry or mango, we never turn away from a good margarita. In fact, we adore variety in our tequila-laced beverages and fully support the Charlotte Tour-de-Marg. Wait, is that a thing? No? Well, it is now. Shake up (or perhaps blend?) your happy hour-hopping by heading to the following bars and restaurants to find your choice Queen City marg.

Paco’s Tacos & Tequila

6401 Morrison Blvd., Charlotte, NC 28211 • (704) 716-8226
Hours: Open daily, 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.

Paco’s Tacos & Tequila has a rockin’ cocktail list with an addictively spicy cucumber jalapeno margarita leading the pack. This specialty margarita gets its kick from being shaken with sliced jalapenos, its refreshing quality from a cucumber puree and a je ne sais quoi courtesy of the housemade sour. If spicy isn’t your style, go for the boozy Margarita with No Name or one of Paco’s seasonal specials, which could be a sweetly creative Blackberry Basil-Rita.
