Charlotte is certainly not lacking in exquisite restaurants. From staples that have been here for decades to the new and exciting, Charlotteans are spoiled with choices no matter the occasion. Among the new and old, Charlotte is home to several establishments that should be at the top of your list for your next date night. As hopeless romantics (and amateur foodies), we put together a list of some of the most romantic restaurants the Queen City has to offer.

300 East

300 East Blvd., Charlotte, NC 28203 • (704) 332-6507
Hours: Monday through Thursday, 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.; Friday and Saturday, 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.; Sunday, 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.

300 East has called the Dilworth neighborhood home for more than 25 years — and “home” is exactly how you feel when you’re there. Set in a historic home that has been transformed into a culinary institution, it is dimly lit, cozy and filled with fireplaces. The menu is stacked with sharable items, however the top of your list of things to try should include the name Matilda Wong. The Matilda Wong is one of 300 East’s signature cocktails, beloved by Charlotteans, served in a pitcher and ideal for sharing.
