Walk in small groups, unguided, through the horrifying woods of Midway Wicked Woods. During your walk, you will go into haunted buildings, graveyards and a 600-foot dark maze and vortex tunnel. Do you think you can make it out alive? Wicked Willie will be waiting at the end of the trail to answer that for you. Tickets are $25 per victim.

As if graveyards aren’t already spooky enough, throw in terrifying actors and you’re for sure in for a scare! Most of the time, stepping foot inside a graveyard at night only lasts about five seconds before you change your mind and turn around. Pinhead’s Graveyard challenges visitors to brave 25 minutes of a half mile walk through their graveyard of pure horror! Tickets are $20.

Experience the spooky waters of Lake Hickory surrounded by nine different haunted attractions. This spot has been voted the number one haunting in North Carolina, the Carolinas and the East Coast, so beware! The attractions include multidimensional special FX, horrifying scares and environments that might come close to chasing you off. With names like Shipwrecked, Nightmare Factory, Lair of The Undead, Big Top Circus and Slaughterhouse, the attractions of Lake Hickory Haunts are bound to terrify you and your companions. Tickets are $22, and parking is $2.

Take a walk through one of the only haunted attractions in North Carolina that is truly haunted with paranormal activity. This haunted house experience is no joke! Although there are over 45 actors, the history behind the hauntings is all too real. Challenge yourself and see if you can handle this terrifying experience! If you become a little too scared to continue, The Haunted Mill also offers a 3D golf experience and an escape room. Tickets are $16 for the Haunted Mill with escape room and 3D golf add-ons available.

Visit Reaper’s Realm for a more low-key haunting experience. With more fun horror than terrifying, the haunted attractions will, for sure, keep you entertained. There are 6,000 square feet of fun — a haunted farmhouse, haunted trail, haunted barn, slaughterhouse and an asylum to name a few. Each ticket is $20.

Walk through 13 acres of horror in the darkest of woods. This is Monroe’s hottest Halloween tour – we dare you to see if you can make it through the entire trail. With highly trained and all-too-real actors, the chances of you making it out to the end are slim. Give it a try, and take on the terrifying challenge of The 13th Acre. Tickets are $13.

For five nights only, visitors can walk through the Forbidden Forest without being chased by scary characters. The forest alone offers such a spooky feel that actors aren’t even needed. Allow the darkness and silence of the night to scare you this Halloween season at the Forbidden Forest. Tickets are $15. Although it is not recommended, children under the age of six have free admission.
