May 5, 2017: Cinco de Mayo Bar Crawl
Celebrate Cinco de Mayo hopping around the EpiCentre during the Cinco De Mayo Bar Crawl. Eight different Uptown bars are participating, including Bubble, Blackfinn, Strike City and Suite. May 6, 2017: Derby Days
Dress to the nines and don your most colorful hat or bow tie for a day full of fun, mint juleps, lawn games and the biggest horse race of the year at the Mint Museum’s 27th annual Derby Days event. Tickets are $40 for members and $55 for non-members. For more information, click here.
May 6, 2017: Lantern Fest
For a family-friendly event, consider a trip to Lantern Fest — where floating Chinese lanterns will light up the night sky! The tradition of letting lanterns go can represent many things, including good fortune, a new start or the celebration of a loved one lost. May 6, 2017: Fashion D’ Lux — The Escape
Join The Martin Truex, Jr. Foundation and Sherry Strong Foundation for a night of luxury and fashion for a great cause during the 3rd annual Fashion D’Lux. This year’s show will feature the newest trends from local boutiques as well as high-end designers, including Z Zegna, Hugo Boss, Helmut Lang, Carolina Isa and St. John. May 6, 2017: America’s Best Bakers Charlotte Edition
Save your appetite for cupcakes, cupcakes and more cupcakes at America’s Best Bakers — Charlotte Edition. During the competition local bakers from around the city will compete for the Queen City title and guests will get to snack on scrumptious treats. Vendors will also be on site for shopping. May 6 & 7, 2017: Kings Drive Art Walk
For two days the Kings Drive Art Walk will take over the Little Sugar Creek Greenway. The 7th annual festival features the works of countless artists ranging from woodworkers and painters to sculptors and jewelers. May 7, 2017: Thomas Davis Defending Dreams Celebrity Golf Tournament
Grab your clubs and hit the links for a cause during the Thomas Davis Defending Dreams Celebrity Golf Tournament at Olde Sycamore Golf Plantation. Participants will enjoy the chance of a lifetime playing 18 holes on an incredible course with NFL players and celebrities from across the county. Registration starts at $150 and money raised will go toward supporting more than 2,100 families through programming like back to school supply drives, Christmas toy giveaways and football camps. May 10, 2017: Julianne and Derek Hough: Move Beyond Live on Tour

Get ready for and entire weekend dedicated to craft beer and live music at the NC Brewers and Music Festival at Historic Rural Hill. May 13, 2017: Greystar South End Hops Festival
More than 40 craft breweries from North and South Carolina will serve up over 80 different cold brews at the 4th annual South End Hops Festival. Popular food trucks including Tin Kitchen and Papi Queso will be on hand for a quick bite to eat. The event is dog friendly and tickets will support RescuedMe — a local animal rescue. May 13, 2017: Beer, Bourbon and BBQ Festival
Get ready for a day jam-packed with the best of the South at the Beer, Bourbon and BBQ Festival. Guests can sip and sample as many cold brews and strong bourbons as they want — and there will be plenty of vendors on site selling delicious bbq at Symphony Park in SouthPark. Take a stroll through Wing Haven’s magnificent gardens during their 23rd annual Gardeners’ Garden Tour. May 14, 2017: Mother’s Day Brunch on the Catawba Queen

May 24, 2017: Taste of the Mint — State of the Art
Art, food and wine will collide during the Mint Museum’s Taste of the Mint — State of the Art event. Guests will get to wine and dine at Halcyon restaurant, where three small dishes will be served. May 25-27, 2017: Speed Street
Tryon Street will turn into Speed Street for three days in celebration of the Coca-Cola 600. The festival gives racing fans and Charlotteans a NASCAR experience with meet and greets with drivers, giveaways and performances by popular country artists including Billy Currington and Jake Owen.
