Vulcan’s 112th Birthday Bash was held on June 5 at the Vulcan Park and Museum. As the largest cast iron statue in the world, Vulcan needed a birthday celebration to match! The event was a family-friendly and community-oriented day full of corn-hole competitions, face painting, a drum circle, and animals from the Birmingham Zoo.
Live music from George Griffin an the Firebirds helped to celebrate Vulcan and kids were able to play on a bounce house, rock climb, or hang out by the fire engine provided by Award La France. A pull-up station with the U.S. Marines Corp and an astonishing helicopter display from he Southern Museum of Flight was the frosting atop Vulcan’s birthday cake, and we cannot wait to celebrate his 113th!
