The primary annual fundraising event for the Alabama Ballet is a swanky, black tie affair. This year’s 16th annual Pointe Ball took place at The Club on January 13th. With views of the whole city from the balcony, guest were able to enjoy a night set to the backdrop of the city’s skyline. The Club’s main ballroom was decorated for the occasion adorned with scarlet accents everywhere, from the draping fabric to the elegant table settings.
Once seated, guests enjoyed an intimate performance by the overwhelmingly talented company members of the Alabama Ballet. Immediately following the performance, guests, members of the company and the artistic director, Tracey Alvey, were treated to a seated, gourmet dinner served by the award-winning staff at The Club. Dessert was paired with a soundtrack supplied by the 14 Karat Gold Dance Band and an open dance floor. Attendees were able to dance the night away and spend time mingling with fellow arts enthusiasts.
The Pointe Ball helps to provide the extensive education and scholarship programs that the Alabama Ballet supports. Several contributors helped to make this event possible including Gala Chairs Nikki Still and Sarah Warburton, Corporate Chair Krystal Drummond and Honorary Chairs Doctors Susan and Morgan Eiland. This night full of appreciation for the wonderful creativity shown by the members of the Alabama Ballet, along with delicious food, fun music and wonderful people, was one to remember. Events like these have us eagerly anticipating next year’s ball!
