This family-friendly event is an absolute blast! Enjoy the creative, delicious and diverse chili styles, as each tent battles to win the grand prize for best chili. Goofy participants go all out with fun themes and costumes, such as last year’s Spirit Award winners, “Chili Ray Cyrus.” Activities include a Kids’ Zone, drinks, live music, familiar faces and all the chili you can eat in support of the Exceptional Foundation’s mission to meet the recreational and social needs of mentally challenged people of all ages. So you can chow down on chili and feel good about it!
What to wear? It’s best to go casual and comfortable for this outdoor event, as you might bust a move to the live music or end up chasing the kids around. The style mavens at Stella Blu have whipped up some seriously chic options for this event, which will have you dancing for sure!

The Laura Crandall Brown Foundation hosts its annual Taste of Teal Gala at the Cahaba Grand Ballroom, where each ticket includes dinner, drinks and “play money” for the casino games. It’s a terrific time to not only enjoy dinner and drinks with friends, live and silent auctions, casino-style games and live music, but also to celebrate and honor four community members who exemplify the foundation’s mission of gynecologic cancer research, awareness and patient support. This is the organization’s largest annual fundraiser and promises a good time for a good cause!
What to wear? This creative cocktail affair sees a mashup of fun styles, from smart casual to a dash of glitzy glamour in cool shades of green and blue. The most important thing is that you come prepared to have fun and support a worthy cause! Our friends at Theadora Abbeyluxe and J.McLaughlin have pulled together some fun, springy looks that are perfect for casino game-playing and dancing to live music!
