The annual Lebanese Food & Cultural Festival is a two-day event bursting with culture, fun for kids, music, dancing, a silent auction and food. Delicious, authentic Lebanese food will be served, including grape leaves, kibbee, tabouleh, falafel, grilled lemon chicken, hummus, traditional flatbreads made before your eyes and delicious Lebanese desserts, such as baklawa, cashew fingers, kaak, bird’s nests and more! New York-based Amin Sultan Lebanese Band will perform each night, and will definitely bring out the dancer in you. Take a tour of the beautifully renovated church and admire the gorgeous stained glass windows. Or partake in the silent auction and fun run. This festival, which drew more than 8,500 people last year, is not only delicious, but fun for the whole family.

The festival is a fun, family-friendly environment where you can dress comfortably, yet remain stylish, in honor of the rich culture you’ll be soaking up. The Event: Funky Fish Fry

Not only will this event be incredibly fun, but it also supports a great cause! The Autism Society of Alabama and Mitchell’s Place have teamed up to raise awareness for Autism Spectrum Disorders through an afternoon of funky, fish-frying fun at Avondale Brewing Co. A ticket to this kid-friendly event will get you finger-licking good fried catfish, hush puppies and coleslaw from Ezell’s Fish Camp; vegetarian and meat lovers’ food options; cold brews; live music; and corn hole, face painting and bounce houses for the kids. Enjoy gorgeous spring weather with an afternoon of food, music and fun in support of a great cause.

This annual fundraising event benefits Special Equestrians, providers of horseback riding therapy to the area’s special needs population.
