FOR THE KITCHEN
Festive serving pieces
One of our favorite ways to welcome fall is to switch up our kitchenware and serving pieces. These items, by artist Shelleigh Buckingham, are not just inspired by nature. Shelleigh actually finds beautiful leaves and flowers across Birmingham and turns them into timeless, unique ceramics that are truly one-of-a-kind. Find this plate for $52 and toothpick holders for $22.50 each, along with a plethora of other pieces, at Bromberg’s.
Fall in Alabama means one thing: football! Whether you’re watching the Tigers or the Tide, these cute and “punny” linen cocktail napkins are the sweetest addition to your game day spread. Plus, it’s never too early to start preparing for Thanksgiving! We love these darling turkey cocktail napkins as a hostess gift or a fun accent for any fall soirée you’re throwing. Find a set of four for $40 at Wild Things.

Find them for $125 each at Paige Albright Orientals.

Antique Portuguese butcher scale
Looking for a one-of-a-kind antique treasure? This 19th-century Portuguese butcher scale is made of antique brass, surmounted by a bull’s head and supported by an iron bar stamped “COSTA BRANCO,” which translates to white coast. Twin brass pans and a base with apertures for fifteen weights complete the piece. Most beautiful of all, every aspect of this piece is 100% original. Find it at Lolo French Antiques et More for $3,995.
To celebrate the arrival of our favorite season, we found the ideal pre-made wreath that basically screams fall. Complete with plush pumpkins, vibrant leaves and fun autumnal details, this piece, when hung on the front door, will greet guests with a warm, festive feel. Now, you won’t have to take the time to build your own wreath. After all, the end of the year is already too busy! Find this, for $56.95, at The Blue Willow.
Bird decor pieces
Bring that festive feeling indoors with these fun, yet elegant decorative pieces. This two-toned bone box looks stunning atop any table and doubles as convenient storage for the remote, matches for the candles or any family room essential. We love how it looks when paired with these decorative doves, which add a touch of fun to the space. Find the two-toned box for $169 and the decorative doves for $98 each at Richard Tubb Interiors.
Sophisticated leaf decor
If you’re ready to welcome autumn, but not so into the typical pumpkins and fall-inspired colorful decor, we have found the sophisticated way to decorate for the season! This black and white leaf tray nods to fall’s festivities without going over-the-top and, best of all, is elegant enough to remain on the table throughout the entire year. Find this, for $46, at Pandy Agnew Interiors.
As each new season arrives, we love to fill our homes with a new fragrance but have recently grown tired of the typical fall-flavored candles we’re all used to. This sea salt cactus candle from Favor Candles is unique and refreshing and gives our homes the soothing scent we crave after a long day. Plus, each candle comes with an inspiring quote, phrase or verse that makes us smile each time we light it. Find this from Favor Candles for $30.
The new season signals a style transition from beads, pom poms and summer-inspired jewels to autumnal shades, timeless tassels and gold accents. These are our go-to earrings this fall. They’re fun, festive and colorful without being too much. We love how these look paired with an all-white or black outfit for a splash of fall color. Find them for $45 at A’mano.

Complete with fun stitching, this handbag is the ideal size for a date night, outing with the gals or an evening on the town. It’s seasonally appropriate while also being a classic piece for any time of the year. Find it for $68.50 at Second Hand Rose.
For the doggo
Your four-legged friend simply must rock their team of choice this football season! Get them (and yourself) in the spirit with these adorable collars and bow ties, available in both Auburn and Alabama styles, and enjoy their cuteness each game day as they happily cuddle while you cheer on your team. Find the collars for $22 each and bow ties for $16 each at The Whole Dog Market.
The arrival of fall signals our favorite seasonal shoes — booties! These, in a soft, warm brown shade, are on-trend, comfortable and ultra-stylish. We love the chunky heel and high ankle as fashion-forward accents to any of your fall looks. Find these for $159 at The Clothes Tree by Deborah.
Style of the season
Trend alert! The accessory of the season this year is scarves and not the kind you’re used to. We’re transitioning from chunky infinity scarves to light and sophisticated silk scarves that can be tied around the neck, hair or even the handle of your handbag for a touch of flirty fun. We are loving this black and gold option because of its unique detailing and timeless color scheme. Find it for $68 from Noha Nadler Handbags.
BREAST CANCER AWARENESS
As October is Breast Cancer Awareness month, we wanted to feature products that either donate to Breast Cancer Research or can act as an offering of love and support to anyone who has been diagnosed. If a loved one or friend has recently been diagnosed and you feel stuck not knowing what to do, read our article, How To Be a Good Friend to Someone With Cancer.
Aveda hand relief cream
Although we will happily welcome cooler temperatures, fall and winter also signal a dry season that often leaves us with cracked, thirsty hands. This Aveda hand relief cream is a gamechanger, and best of all, $5 of each cream sold is donated to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. Find it for $24 at Tonya Jones SalonSpa.
An inspiring bracelet may seem like a small gift to someone who is battling cancer, but sometimes, all it takes is a motivational reminder to remind them of the love and support that surrounds them. These bracelets, made by a company called Article 22, are actually made from recycled bombs from Laos. These beautiful bangles are turning bad into beautiful, and each handcrafted talisman is a powerful symbol for every person on a quest to turn bad into good. Find these, along with other “peacebomb” jewelry pieces, ranging from $40 to $55, from Paige Albright Orientals.
“Wishing you well” care package
If you know someone who has recently been diagnosed with any kind of cancer, it may seem nearly impossible to find a tangible way to show them you care. This care package includes organic, handmade lip balm, shea creme, cuticle balm and a blank notepad. It may seem small, but they’ll feel the love during their most difficult time. Find this for $38 from 1818 Farms.
