Have you heard of Market 46? If you’re not an event planner, you may not be familiar with this fabulous rental company located in the back of Lamb’s Ears in Crestline Village. Market 46 specializes in renting vintage finds for events like weddings, but since there is no minimum order, it is perfect for those times when you are in need of extra seating, glasses, tableware and the like. I recently rented 20 milk jar glasses for a tween birthday party for only fifty cents each. With the holidays upon us, Market 46 is the perfect place to find everything from extra silver, goblets and serving pieces, to linens, lighting and decor, to ensure you have what you need when you are expecting a crowd.
Here are a few of my favorite items, which you can find, along with everything they offer, on their website. Oh, and the best part about renting their wares is that you only need to rinse food and beverage items before returning them!
If you come up short in the china department, Market 46 has a variety of mix and match vintage china in all plate sizes.
Chafing dishes are a great way to keep everything hot and ready when serving buffet style.
I just love these vintage, colored glass goblets. I’m sure any beverage would taste better if sipped from one of these.
It’s the little things that make a gathering special. Market 46 seems to have a plethora of galvanized items like these trays, as well as a beer crate and even a large drink trough, which would be perfect for icing down drinks and keeping them cold on the porch.
And they have clever problem-solving pieces that make entertaining easier. Corralling the utensils can sometimes be challenging, for example, but this little caddy would make a beautiful statement.
Or roll silverware in individual napkins and make use of this wooden caddy.
Market 46 also has an assortment of vintage lanterns, candelabras with battery operated candle lights for indoor/outdoor use, tables, chairs and so much more. To see everything Market 46 has available for rent, visit their website at www.market46.com or stop by Lamb’s Ears. Right now, the Market 46 retail space is mostly being used for overflow Christmas decorations, but there are a few rental pieces on display in the way, way back.
