Wow! What a great night out last week at the first annual Fashion Night Out in downtown Homewood. In case you don’t know, FNO is a national, correction global, event created in 2009 that takes place every year to celebrate fashion and encourage consumers to shop and support the fashion industry during tough economic times. During Homewood’s event, many of the SoHo shops on 18th Street stayed open late, offering giveaway drawings and shopping perks. And there were plenty of wine, nibbles and noshes to be had. The lower part of the street was closed off and strung with globe lights, setting the scene for the evening’s runway show. The show was phenomenal! The Aveda Institute did an amazing job on the hair of all the Molly Green-clad models, giving them an air of modern day Madmen. Doree, SOCA, Shaia’s and White Flowers also wowed us with their participation in the show.
Food trucks, Shindigs and Dreamcakes, were on the scene dishing up hearty fare and scrumptious cupcakes. And food was not the only thing being trucked in – the brand new fashion wagon, Indigo Luxe, a traveling airstream boutique selling fabulous women’s clothes and accessories, held their grand opening. You will love all that they have to offer – Nue, Seduce, Covet, Ark & Co., Wish Collection, Tracy Reese, Muse, Fidelity, IT, Cimarron, Rock & Revival, Sao Paulo, Popomomo – just to name a few! I can’t wait to see where they pull over next!

Have a great weekend, everyone!
