Leeward Sweater from J. McLaughlin
A perfect, everyday sweater from J. McLaughlin. This simple, nautical sweater is made even more special with the leather detailing on the shoulders. Put it with your favorite pair of jeans and you are out the door in minutes. The sweater is available in navy, oatmeal and graphite. $165.
Uma Cashmere Cocoon Cardigan
We can imagine feeling quite cozy on cool fall days all wrapped up in the Uma Cashmere Cocoon Cardigan from Calypso St. Barth. The 100% cashmere sweater features a loose, wrap style that is comfortable to wear and looks great when paired with skinny jeans and boots. $295.
We are huge fans of Spanx leggings! The high-waisted, ultra-shaping waistband helps us feel pulled in and somehow — Spanx magic? — they are still super comfortable. New this fall are two very fun options: The faux leather (available at area boutiques and online) will instantly add a bit of glam to your outfit. And if you are looking for something a little more understated, but still very fun, try the Snakeskin Leggings (available at Atlanta Activewear), which have a stripe of either black or brownstone snake detailing running down the side. $98 each.
Pocket Squares from Sid Mashburn
Add a punch of color to the suit or jacket of your favorite man with one of these pocket squares from Sid Mashburn. The bright colors and patterns will instantly add a modern touch to any plain navy or grey suit. Prices range from $25 to $55.
AtlantaFresh Greek Yogurt Cream Cheese
We are such fans of AtlantaFresh and all of their products. Their latest offering, Greek Yogurt Cream Cheese, has become a regular in our grocery cart. They have both sweet and savory options — plain, apricot honey, chive garlic herb and kalamata olive sundried tomato caper, which is fabulous paired with smoked salmon. Look for the cream cheese at Whole Foods locations or at local farmers markets. $3.69.
Pickled Peaches from Preserving Place
We mourn the passing of peach season each summer, but tears of joy came to our eyes when we tasted the Pickled Peaches from Preserving Place. The Georgia peaches were canned with cinnamon sticks and cloves, leaving them with the perfect amount of sweet and spice. They have plenty of stock right now. But fair warning — once they are out, they are out! $25
Yeti Hopper 30 Cooler
Yeti Coolers are a favorite among Southerners for their ability to keep things cold for longer than any other brand. Just released is their newest must-have version, the Yeti Hopper 30. Yeti specifically engineered the cooler to be portable, but also indestructible. And using the same technology as the large version, everything can stay cold all day long. Even on the go. $299.99. You can pick one up locally at Mountain High Outfitters.
Sterling Silver Christmas Ornaments
We know, we haven’t even celebrated Halloween, and here we are telling you it is time to think Christmas. But the holidays are just around the corner, and if you want a 2014 Christmas ornament from Beverly Bremer — especially if you want it engraved — you need to act soon. Right now they have a great selection of sterling silver ornaments — from snowflakes to crosses, figurines of Old Saint Nick and jingle bells. Prices start around $60 and go to around $250.
Lucite Picture Frames
We have always loved the simplistic, modern look of Pieces Lucite Picture Frames, and now they have taken it one step further by added a smoky edge to the frames. They look fantastic when placed together in a grouping. 5×7 is $30.
Great hostess gift
