Say goodbye to the gaping holes and construction cranes lining Peachtree Street. The mixed-use development known as Buckhead Atlanta is officially open. Featuring high-end stores and several restaurants, the development is like nothing Atlanta has ever seen. But don’t dare call it a mall. Developer Oliver McMillan carefully crafted the shops, restaurants and even the streets and sidewalks to create an urban shopping oasis. The whole development is as much about daily living in the city as it is shopping for the perfect pair of shoes. StyleBlueprint is giving you the scoop on what you can find when wandering this beautiful new space.
RESTAURANTS (Note: none of these have opened yet but will shortly, this fall)
Described as an Italian getaway in the middle of the city, Corso Coffee will feature espresso and locally roasted artisanal drip coffee. The shop will also have baked goods, breakfast treats, sandwiches and salads, making it the perfect spot to grab lunch or have a meeting. We’re excited to have another spot in Buckhead to keep us caffeinated. Corso Coffee is located near the corner of Peachtree and Bolling Way.
Created by the founders of The Big Ketch and Tin Lizzy’s, this gastropub with handsome decor will open on Peachtree. The menu is filled with Southern dishes that have a modern twist. Bar snacks being mentioned include tantalizing dishes like Hoppin’ John Boudin Balls and Pimento Cheese Puffs. Classic Southern cocktails will be served from the marble and brass bar.
Also from the creators of The Big Ketch and Tin Lizzy’s, Gypsy Kitchen is a Spanish-inspired restaurant with influences from Morocco and the Mediterranean. The menu will feature small plates and snacks, as is customary in Spanish cuisine, but will also have large plate options. The second-story location, on the corner of Peachtree and Buckhead Avenue, will house a lovely patio with great people-watching views.
A quiet retreat with all day service, Le Bilboquet brings its New York restaurant concept to Atlanta. The only freestanding restaurant in the development, its space will be nestled in an oak tree-lined courtyard near the corner of Peachtree and Buckhead Avenue. The restaurant will be open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, featuring a menu with freshly baked croissants, sandwiches and salads, and other traditional French dishes. You are invited to sit back and dine at a leisurely pace or quickly grab something from the to-go window.

If you are worried about your arms getting tired from carrying too many shopping bags, do not fear. One of the many services offered by the onsite concierge is a bag valet. Also available are five car valet stands, located throughout the property. And if you are thinking this might be a wonderful community in which to live, then you are in luck. There are two 12-story apartment buildings with 340 units and a plethora of amenities. But don’t think the redevelopment of Buckhead Atlanta is finished. Phases II and III are about to begin, and will include more restaurants, shops and office space. There are also whisperings about a boutique hotel. Ooh la la!
