Football season and fall have officially arrived! And today, we have a fashion guest post from Savannah Boyd of Hearts of Style. She shopped a few of our favorite Atlanta boutiques and put together some fabulous game day outfits. Take it away Savannah!
Hey there! My name is Savannah Boyd and I am the owner of Hearts of Style, which offers services such as personal shopping and styling, wardrobe consultations, and closet auditing and organizing. My favorite part of fall is college football! I am an Auburn girl through and through, so I never pass up the opportunity to cheer for the Tigers! When I am putting together my own game day attire, my cowboy boots are my go-to’s! I can never go wrong pairing them with a dress, skirt, or a skinny jean and my favorite orange item of the week! Here are a couple of game day outfits for some of the best teams in the South!
“Glory, Glory to Ole Georgia!”
Here’s an adorable and easy dress paired with your favorite boots. Now I know the fur vest is a bit of an investment piece, but it is an investment I certainly believe is worth making. You can throw it over anything! Your favorite dresses, a great pair of jeans and a turtleneck, or even a skirt and blouse. As long as you keep it simple and stick to a solid color fur, you will have many different outfit options to pair it with!
“Lets Go Dawgs!”
This look is too cute, but if you feel like being a little more relaxed, you can pair this same lace sweater with a skinny jean and black boots. Toss a lightweight red scarf around your neck to keep the school colors tried and true!
We all know how hard it is to find a clutch that you will actually hold all of your necessities, and that is why I love this one by Elaine Turner! We picked a great neutral color for this outfit so you could pull this out again and again, no matter what colors you have on.
“The Ramblin’ Wreck!”
After the game, pair this cute skirt with a great pair of platform pumps and silk black blouse and you are ready for your next cocktail party!
“Rammer Jammer Alabama!”
Now if you want to make a fashion statement at the game, then show up in your new pant suit! This one by Black Halo is so adorable and so flattering on every body type! It is intimidating on the hanger, but I promise if you try it on you will be pleased with what you see!
When it is later in the season and the temperature drops, this skirt will look so cute paired with an oversized, cozy black sweater and boots. The blouse can literally be worn all year long. Pair with white jeans or black shorts in the summer and you will have a whole new look.
“Its Great to be an Auburn Tiger!”
Hats are such a statement this year! You have to be careful and choose something that is not overwhelming for your frame, but when you find the right one, it will be a fun new go-to accessory for you! And it will keep the game day sun off your face!
“Weagle Weagle War Eagle!”
I truly love this outfit! It just makes me happy! The Bohemian-style tunic dress paired with cowboy boots is a simple look that has great flare. You can always wear the tunic with skinny jeans, as well, and toss the fur vest.
A scarf is such an easy go-to piece when you need that extra pop! If you do not like the way it’s draped around the neck of this dress, you can also tie it to your handbag as another option.
“Orange and Blue!”
I think a great silk blouse is a necessity in every closet! This particular one works perfectly when supporting the Gators, but you could also pair this with a chocolate brown or winter white skirt and a great pair of boots for a chic fall look.
“Hey, Lets Give a Cheer, Carolina is Here!”
This look is so easy and fun! The top is cool and breezy, so even if you pair with the black pant or a denim jean you will not be “roasting” for a daytime game! This outfit perfectly transitions from a day game to an evening out on the town! Just throw on a black blazer for a little added warmth!
“Here we go Gamecocks!”
This Theory dress is perfect when cheering on the Gamecocks, but it serves as such a practical piece, as well. Pair with a black cardigan for church, a luncheon, or even the office.
