Let me paint you a not so pretty holiday tale: It is 7:40 p.m., your best friend’s party started 10 minutes ago, you’re whipping through your closet like a tornado because your beautiful jewel-toned cocktail dress has a lovely red wine stain right down the front (yup, you were supposed to take it to the dry cleaners last month…oops!). The dog is barking, kids are screaming and, oh yeah, you are supposed to bring dessert to the party. To the party that started 10 minutes ago. Never fear, StyleBlueprint has you covered. Here are 6 quick and easy pick up desserts from Whole Foods and Trader Joe’s. Throw on a little black dress, a swipe of red lipstick, some heels and swing by either store on your way to the party.

Whole Foods:

We know that you know about the deliciousness of the Whole Foods bakery. In just the bakery alone, there are tons of dessert options: cupcakes, mini cupcakes, whole cakes, etc. All of these choices make for a beautiful dessert option.

There are tons of options and flavors in the Whole Foods bakery department

Chocolate covered caramels, graham crackers, potato chips, oh my! Pick up a few of these, and when you get to the party place them in individual bowls or grab a pint or two of ice cream and sprinkle a few treats on top.

chocolate covered delights. $7.99 each at Whole Foods

Judi Cakes are made locally in Atlanta with lots of love! A perfect quick dessert to grab and go. Slice into pieces and place on a pretty platter once you get to the party for the guest to easily pick up.

Judi Cakes. Large $13.59

Trader Joe’s

Known as a great stop for quick, ready-to-serve (or nearly so) meals, Trader Joe’s is also perfect for grab-and-go delectable treats! Here are three of our TJ faves:

Ice Cream Bon Bon’s. These two-bite nuggets of vanilla or chocolate ice cream, atop a chocolate cookie, covered in dark chocolate are DIVINE!

Trader Joe’s Ice Cream Bon Bons. $3.69 for a box of 12.

Laceys Dark Chocolate Almond Cookies

We found out about these decadent cookies when a friend brought them to a pot-luck dinner recently. If you like toffee and chocolate together, you’ll love these! We like to serve them as-is on a platter, or chopped up and sprinkled over vanilla ice cream. Yum!

Laceys Dark Chocolate Almond Cookies. From Trader Joe’s. $3.79 a box. Also available at Whole Foods.

Triple Ginger Snaps and Lemon Curd

We’ve been told there’s an SB editor in Nashville (who shall remain nameless) who has a ginger snap problem, especially when there’s lemon curd nearby for dipping… These crispy Triple Ginger Snap cookies are loaded with bits of crystallized ginger, and when topped with just a tiny dollop of Trader Joe’s Lemon Curd, irresistible!

TJ’s Triple Ginger Cookies, $3.99 a box. TJ’s Lemon Curd, $2.99 a jar.

See? A five minute stop and dessert crisis averted!
