On Monday we wrote about all the fun changes and new shops in the White Provisions area of the Westside Provisions District. And, today we have the restaurants of White Provisions! While these aren’t new spots in town we love this area so much and we are so excited about the community that is forming on the Westside, so we just had to share!
West Egg Cafe
Any place that serves breakfast all day long ranks quite high on my list of restaurants. But don’t think of West Egg Cafe as only a breakfast place, they serve up great lunch and dinner options as well. On my last visit, the restaurant was packed for lunch and the cafe tables up front were filled with people typing away on their laptops. Next time I plan on stopping by on Sunday night for “Binner”. Instead of segwaying into their dinner menu they serve their brunch menu for “binner.” How perfect?!
The first time my husband suggested Ormsby’s for dinner I said “isn’t that just a bar?” I was pleasantly surprised to find that yup, Ormsby’s is a great bar (with bocce courts, dart boards, and pool tables), but they also have a restaurant on the main floor with pretty good food! It is a great place to meet friends for a casual dinner or a quick date night. Though I would recommend going during the week instead of the weekend. I usually order one of their salads or sandwiches. And I love their boiled peanuts!
Abattoir describes their delicious food as “whole animal cuisine.” They take great care to use every “functional” part of the animal whether it is beef, chicken, fish, or pork. Their attention to detail is definitely evident in their food! I particularly love to order a bunch of their cold and warm appetizers. The dishes are so infinitive and they are perfect to split them among friends.
The burger craze is well on its way to taking over Atlanta. But, Yeah Burger presents a pretty good case for domination. We love their commitment to “keepin’ it real” by only using natural ingredients free of all of that bad stuff. They also have a good list of inventive toppings (try the bacon jam, you won’t be sorry) and a good selection of healthy sides and salads, too. And to top it all off, Bon Appetit named Yeah Burger one of their favorite burger spots in America! Oh Yeah! (couldn’t resist)
Like all of the burger restaurants all over the city, there a lots of choices for frozen yogurt. But, I particularly love Yoforia. All of their yogurts are made fresh daily using real organic yogurt. They also care a lot about their toppings by finding ones that are fun but also natural and, if possible, organic. It is definitely easy to fill your cup to the brim!
We hope you enjoyed our tour of White Provisions on the Westside. It is just one of the many reasons we love Atlanta!
