The SB team has long been fans of The Cosmetic Market, starting way back when founder Linda Roberts established Nashville’s original Private Edition beauty boutique more than 30 years ago. We’re thrilled now that Linda has brought her expertise a little farther south into the Atlanta Metro area. What better place to stretch out some serious savvy than at the very latest lifestyle development, Avalon, a sustainable live/work mini village just off 400 in central Alpharetta? When Linda began considering the move and learned the details about the Avalon concept, she decided in an instant that the timing was right and the fit almost custom-made.
Linda focuses on creating a specialized experience for each customer and a unique environment for each store. The magnificent design and planning used to bring Avalon to life fosters the same ingenuity that Linda wants to invite into her own retail space. In fact, every Cosmetic Market venue is designed differently — no cookie-cutter format here. Every store feels like an individual boutique.
This new Avalon location is the largest Cosmetic Market yet, with an incredible expanse of products ranging from simple to luxurious. In addition to the wide variety of labels from around the world, The Cosmetic Market also boasts its own lines: Therapy Systems, a targeted, high-end skin care and makeup line; Otter Creek, men’s products with an outdoor spin; and Back Bar for premium hair care. Starting in early 2015, the Avalon store will begin highlighting local products as well, carefully curating the best of our area through a selection process. The Cosmetic Market’s current locations are already lauded for this kind of support for local talent.
Spa treatment rooms beckon from the rear of the store, ready to pamper patrons with a variety of services. The aesthetician with whom I spoke said she values working with such a detail-oriented team that’s committed to superior customer service. And she also relishes the ability to choose from so many different product lines for treatments, thus giving her clients the utmost personalization. (I indulged in a signature facial in one of the coziest spa rooms ever … seriously… gently heated table, fine linens and cozy comforter. If I disappear for a few days, I could quite possibly be found hiding out there.)
