With dried lips on the rise as winter makes its (hopefully) last visit, we welcome LipSmart. Not only does this brilliant lip treatment nourish to heal your lips, it plumps them in a nonirritating way. Hey, we’ve all tried the plumpers that seriously tingle and sting when you apply. Not this. This just plumps from within, in about a month and promotes a healthy color for your lips as well. Try it. We think we might actually have found one that works. You’ll need to apply a few times a day, but just do so like you would Chapstick. The difference is your lips will actually stay moisturized between applications. $30 at Woo Skincare + Cosmetics

Lady Almina and the Real Downton Abbey by the Countess of Carnavon

From our Louisville Editor Heidi: Missing Downton Abbey already like me? This book should help ease the transition from a rather sad Season 3. According to Amazon, this book “tells the story behind Highclere Castle, the real-life inspiration for the hit PBS show Downton Abbey, and the life of one of its most famous inhabitants, Lady Almina, the 5th Countess of Carnarvon and the basis of the fictional character Lady Cora Crawley. Drawing on a rich store of materials from the archives of Highclere Castle, including diaries, letters, and photographs, the current Lady Carnarvon has written a transporting story of this fabled home on the brink of war.” Buy locally at Parnassus for $16.

Downtown Abbey was based on Lady Almina’s life.

DL 1961 Jeans

Have you ever had a favorite pair of dark jeans that stretch out so much you have to wash them all the time, quickly making them your favorite faded jeans? Us too. We’ve discovered a solution, though, in a great denim line at Soca Clothing on Bandywood – DL1961 Premium Denim. Their patented 4-way stretch denim is made with a unique product called XFit Lycra®, which molds the jeans to your body and eliminates the sag factor. Think: muscle memory. Wear them repeatedly (they will stretch enough to make them not look painted on, yes) and wash as needed.

The DL1961 "Grace." $168 at Soca.
