For May’s What to Wear feature, we’ve gone in a new direction. Instead of showcasing mannequins wearing current looks for events in town, we’ve partnered with Landyn Hutchinson to be our model, showing fashions from four local boutiques. Landyn’s blog, livingwithlandyn.com, is all about approachable style: from recipes, to fashion, to home decor and doing it all while keeping your sanity as a busy woman and mom.
May brings a bevy of events — from the 75th Iroquois Steeplechase to Mother’s Day, graduations, weddings and even backyard parties for Memorial Day weekend. Many of these require a dress … at least that’s the easiest thing for an effortless, polished look. Wardrobe consultant Rebecca Thompson gathered dresses for all of these events from SOCA, MODA and K. McCarthy. And, as Steeplechase pretty much requires a hat, she also grabbed some gorgeous ones from Stacey Rhodes Boutique.
The makeup used for this What to Wear story is from the just-launched Spring 2016 Therapy Systems collection.
(SB note: Landyn is 5 feet 8 inches tall. Thus, many of these dresses would be just above the knee on an average-height woman, which is considered 5 feet 4 inches!)
