Nashville has some great patios, but there are a few that we have recently discovered and some that are luring us back over and over again during this amazing Nashville weather we are currently enjoying. While we all have patios that we are well familiar with (Sopapilla’s, SatCo, Watermark, Zumi, Taco Mamcitas, Virago, just to name a few!) here are a few that you may not be as familiar with. Here are five to check out while this July weather, made to embrace, continues!
This post is mainly pictorial, so click on the link of each restaurant for more information.
Suzy Wong’s House of Yum:
One of Arnold Myint’s family of restaurants, we are fond of sitting on the back patio and sharing some sushi while we catch up with friends. Every time we go, someone orders the Asian Wonton Pulled Pork Nachos, which makes us so very happy! www.suzywongsnashville.com
Kocktails & Kouture (note: now closed)
This place is 90% dining and 10% shopping, so don’t let the name fool you that you must shop in order to enjoy this spot, which is one of the prettiest restaurants in all of Nashville. With a black and white decor, huge chandeliers and a vibe that is so classic it’s hip, Kocktails & Kouture will impress you. While dining indoors and outdoors is a treat, their patio is simply one of the best kept secrets in town. Stunning and, bonus here, usually shady. Be sure to order the Tuna Tartar with guacamole and soy ginger. (The address is 11th Ave but the entrance is really on Pine Street, so it can be hard to find!) www.kocktailsandkouture.com
With all the buzz about Sylvan Park and Charlotte Ave, the patio at Miel is soon to be known by many more Nashvillians. For one of the best meals in town, with a beautiful presentation and top notch service, make a reservation at Miel. Ask for the patio on a pretty night and be sure to stay for dessert as the Lemon Tart the perfect way to end your meal! www.mielrestaurant.com
For a fun, laid back experience, you can’t beat The Pharmacy in East Nashville. Take the kids, go with a group, go on a date. Casual and perfect for eating burgers and drinking beer! thepharmacynashville.com
Blue Moon Waterfront Grille
In case you missed the news, Blue Moon Waterfront Grille is back after 3 years of closure following the May 2010 flood. For folks who live in downtown or West Nashville, this is the closest place to dine where you can sit on the water, look at the boats and even see the paddle boarders go by. We suggest ordering the Full Moon Wings: ginger and soy glazed drumettes, baked and grilled with ginger dipping sauce to go with a cold beer. www.bluemoongrille.com
Are there any patios that have you ga ga right now?
