Never show up to a party empty-handed. It’s the advice we received from our parents and our grandparents before them. When someone welcomes you into their home, it is only fitting to gift them for their hospitality. This season, we are bringing treats, eats and drinks to our gracious holiday party hosts and hostesses. Stock up on these pantry, fridge and bar favorites so you have something on hand as you rush out the door to holiday soirées!
L’Épicurien Strawberry and Champagne Spread
L’Épicurien specializes in handmade fruit jams and spreads that are a touch less sweet than the traditional. Tart strawberries are paired with dry champagne in this French spread. The beauty of the spread lies in its ability to pair with just about anything. The tartness complements fresh cheese, livens up breakfast toast and adds sweetness to a handmade dessert. Snag a jar for $12.95 at Little Gourmand.
Oakley’s Sweet & Spicy Pickles
In addition to the combination of spices, it is the 14-day process of making Oakley’s Sweet & Spicy Pickles that makes them so delicious. Bring a jar of these widely loved pickles, or Oakley’s Southern Delights‘ sweet and hot pepper jelly, into any home this season. We are huge fans of the pickles and are ready to convert each and every one of you into lovers of these crispy, spicy, sweet treats. Seersucker Candy Co. candies
Leave your host and hostess with something sweet (without logging hours in the kitchen). Olive & Sinclair Chocolate Co.’s sister company, Seersucker Candy Co. crafts confections that ignite your taste buds. Their first confections, the Original, Muzzle Loader and Cherry Bombs, remain our favorites. The Original is filled with a salted chocolate ganache; Muzzle Loader is filled with salted bourbon caramel; and Cherry Bombs are filled with a pickled cherry, covered in a buttermilk fondant and finished with dark chocolate and dusted with cherry powder. We can attest to the fact that all three are mouth-watering. Shop these at Olive & Sinclair in East Nashville or Seersucker Candy Co. on Franklin’s Main Street. Buy the confections for $16.99, each or get a three-pack sampler for $45.

The milk is creamy (but not thick) with a touch of sweetness. Burch Milk has a short shelf life (about 4 days) so enjoying it right away is recommended.
