“I’ll stop wearing black when they invent a darker colour.”
— Wednesday Addams
How fitting for fall, if not for fashion, a look at the beauty of black, especially just on the heels of Halloween and Dias de los Muertos. These two holidays serve as a fantastic backdrop for — and introduction to — two of fall’s biggest trends: gothic and neo-Victorian. One could say black is the new black as it has seen a resurgence in popularity in recent years. My take on black? While gothic, it can be glamorous, even beautiful, but never intimidating. And my best advice? Do NOT be afraid to wear black.
