Summer means wanderlust and day trips, right? If you’re looking for a place to check out, might we recommend Bardstown? A day trip to Bardstown is a short up and back, and you can make a day of it or enjoy an afternoon of shopping and lunch. Bardstown has a quintessential, old-school downtown, and most of the shops are located on the main drag: Third Street. It is so refreshing to park your car and stroll around, window shopping or walking in every store.
If you decide to make the trip, here are six great places to shop in Bardstown:

This is a great place to buy a gift, as well, with a great selection of candles, jewelry and handbags.
