A Nashvillian by way of Florida, New Jersey and North Carolina, Ashley Haugen grew up just down 65S in beautiful Brentwood, TN. After attending Franklin Road Academy for 12 years, she migrated north to attend Boston University, where she received a degree in film and television. A quick stint in Los Angeles confirmed that she was, in fact, a Southerner, so she returned to Nashville where she began her career in media.
Ashley joined StyleBlueprint in October 2014 after spending more than 15 years in parenting and women’s interest verticals. Her editorial and management experience has spanned both digital and print formats across local and national markets. She was the founding editor of Her Nashville magazine, managing editor of Nashville Parent magazine and senior content strategist at PGOA Media, overseeing content across a family of five websites. “I’m so excited to be at StyleBlueprint because it feels like all of my experience is culminating in this fantastic opportunity,” she says. “It’s truly a perfect fit!”
In addition to serving in editorial and content strategy roles, Ashley is also the author of Historic Photos of Nashville in the 50s, 60s, and 70s (Turner Publishing). Happily domesticated in West Nashville, she shares her quaint Sylvan Park home with husband Scott; sons Happy (13), Sonny (11) and Ollie (9); and future StyleBlueprint reader, daughter Winnie (3 mos.).
